Area Description
Sargent Beach is in Matagorda County, Texas about 25 miles from Lake Jackson and Bay City and just over an hour from Houston. Quite and sleepy, no night life, little shopping, only 3 restaurants and 2 gas stations. Like the end of the world when you cross over the last swing bridge in Texas and come on to the island where you won't want to leave during your stay. So bring food and drink, relax, enjoy the views and let some good time pass.
