Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

We call our home, "Oz by the Sea." It's beachside location and large decks make it perfect for dining al fresco with the view of the ocean and the sound of the surf providing the atmosphere and the melody for entertaining. If there are little pirates, stargazers or porpoise spotters among you, the can climb up to the crow's nest at the top of the house, which faces the gulf, and have a wonderful adventure!

The interior of our home has been charmingly remodeled, making you feel welcome,pampered and indulged. The living room is cozy and comfortable with a reading nook for the kids. It is tastefully decorated, sleeps 8-9 with the extra sleeping space for one with the ottoman/sleeper that makes into a twin size bed; perfect for that teenager that needs his or her "own space."

The masterbedroom has a brand new pillowtop king size bed, and a bathroom with an oversized open style shower that has a waterfall showerhead. There is a lanai off this room with seating for 5 that faces the gulf breeze and views.

The second bedroom has a brand new pillowtop full size bed and twin bed with a TV/DVD player in it.

The third bedroom is the bunkhouse, with one set of bunkbeds and a fun table for the kids to play toy cars on.

The second bath is complete with a shower and a jacuzzi tub and is decorated in a fun beach cabana style.

The kitchen is beautiful, very functional, and fully stocked. Complete with baking pans, mixing bowls and all utensils and gadgets you could need. I also provide gourmet coffee, filters and sugars.

Our home goes several steps further in conveniences as we provide all linens, paper products, quality over-sized beach towels, as well as sunscreens for the entire family AND in the masterbath some lovely lotions and scrubs for you to indulge in.

Our home is on a quiet dead-end road in one of the most established neighborhoods known as Palm Beach. The beach is large and private, with no automobiles allowed.

Our home is perfectly located, only 5 minutes away from golf courses, 10 minutes from Schlitterbahn, 5 minutes from the Seawall activities, and 10-15 minutes from all the wonderful Strand activities and restaurants!

Area Description

Palm Beach is about 5 minutes down FM 3005, on the West End of Galveston Island where the majority of the places are mom and pop shops and family beach homes.

"Oz by the Sea is definitely a cut above your typical beach house rental. The house has a carefully put-together feel. The furniture, lovely bedding and fully stocked kitchen are top notch. The spacious master suite, with it's screened in porch, is set away from the other bedrooms. This arrangement is perfect for the adults to enjoy some privacy and listen to the waves lap the shore. We love the master bathroom. The large walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head is heavenly to wash the sand away after a day at the beach. There is also a wonderfully unique sink. The large deck outside is perfect for al fresco meals. The beach is close enough for the children to dart to and fro from the house. Forget something? Not likely, because the house is so well stocked: hairdryer, iron, ironing board. But, if one has the craving for Fungyuns, there is a handy convenience store right up the road.
