Cozy beach house in Galveston’s beautiful Pirates Beach just 8 miles west of 61st street . This 3/2 home is quite spacious because in addition to the 3 bedrooms it has a loft that is great for kids and young adults. A nice beach is just a short 1 ½ blocks and a 5 minute walk all within the neighborhood without having to cross any highways. Located in Galveston Island’s West End but yet a short 10 minute ride to the Schittlerbahn Water Park and Moody Gardens .Restaurants , groceries and other Galveston city attractions are only minutes away yet apart from the peaceful environment at Pirates Beach. Pets OK if house trained.
Area Information
Galveston Island, TX is the up and coming place to be in the Gulf Coast and Pirates Beach is one of the most attractive neighborhoods in West Beach. The beach is great for swimming and wade fishing with clean and warm water to relax in. The historic East end of the island will appeal to history buffs, shoppers, sightseers and theater lovers. The Grand Opera House has been entertaining locals and visitors for over 100 years. A drive through Old Galveston will make you think you are living in the previous century. You can also visit the Schittlerbahn Water Park or Moody Gardens and the kids will have a blast! Galveston also has a fantastic and challenging 18 hole Municipal Golf Course that has recently been renovated. If you like offshore fishing you can sign up with charter boats or just wade in the beach water and go for those redfish and trout. Galveston has terrific restaurants with seafood as fresh as they come, and the beaches and the sun are always there waiting for you!

St Luis Pass is 15 miles west of Pirates Beach and a great place to launch a boat for offshore fishing. There is a marina available less than a mile away just west of the Galveston Country Club for bay boat riding and fishing.

Was very disappointed in working with this person

the leaser would not respond and when he/she did they did not answer the questions. I stated I wantted to rent the place and days later got the response it was rented.

Great clean value close to beach and town!

Great first impression. The house was spotless when we arrived and we were even allowed to arrive early! The kitchen has all essentials for preparing meals which was great since we cooked most of the time instead of heading into town. The beach was easily a walkable distance even with a stubborn three year old in tow. The subdivision was close enough to town we could run to walmart if we needed something. The house is smaller but has ample space for multiple families. We had 4 adults and two kids and didn't even need the upstairs loft for sleeping area, it became the indoor play space for the kids. Mercedes is sweetest to work with and I would highly recommend this property to others.

Nice, clean comfortable house

This is a very nice, clean house within a few minutes of walking distant to a private beach area. The owner has lots of beach toys, chairs, and ice chests. There was plenty of room for our 8 people - 4 adults and 4 kids. The only negative thing was no toilet paper or paper towels. You would think this would be provided since its provided even in the cheapest of hotels.

We do provide them and it must have been an oversight by the cleaning people. It is really embarrasing to me that it was not left there.

Great beach house!!

We rented this beach house and loved it! It was beautiful and spacious. It had great pots and pans, cable tv in living room and in the master bedroom which was a huge plus for our family. It also came with wireless internet connection. It was very clean and close to the beach. The owners were extremely friendly and very easy to work with and also gave us great details about where to go eat and places to go to entertain our kids. I would definitely rent this house again and would highly recommend this beach house to anyone.

Amazing!!!!!

Arrived the afternoon of June 10th and walked in to a beautiful home. It is more beautiful in person and amazing sunlight comes into the house. Comfortably slept 4 adults & 3 teenagers, along with a couple of dogs. We are hoping to return again next summer & rent this same house. A 5 minute walk to the beach was so very nice. Close to town but still made you feel like you were seclude on your own little island. Thanks again Mercedes for allowing my family to stay at your house.

Great house in a quiet location, away from the busy part of town. very relaxing nice family oriented neighborhood. The home itself could use a good cleaning. All in all a great trip with lots of kids and we weren't all on top of each other.

Someones' Nice house

I found this house on the net and booked it because it didn't have steering wheels, fishnets or starfish on the walls. When we arrived they still didn't have any! Thank goodness! Someone (who cooks, because it has a good kitchen) designed this place and it works great for cooking, BBQ'ing or even takeaways! We did all three. It is a home, so it isn't flawless; but the layout is good. (Loft is good for 6yrs or older). Kitchen and Lounge allows conversation with everyone whilst cooking and the beds are good. Kitchen is FULLY equipped with all pans and pots - not Walmarts frypan and egg poacher! Also, Owners are nice - we asked for an extra day at late notice, and they arranged it.
