Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

Reserve Azure Vista, our cozy beachfront retreat, and relax on the spacious wraparound deck and porch. We welcome small dogs and provide a gate so your pets can enjoy the deck along with you.

Post Ike we are better than ever! The home has been completely remodeled and features porcelain floor tile throughout. The spacious new shower features glazed Spanish tile accents, clear glass by-pass doors, a glass block window and multi-function showerhead.

The home is bright and airy with many windows, cathedral ceilings, three new ceiling fans, an electric fireplace for cool evenings, high-speed Internet access and a flat panel satellite TV system. The leather sofa folds out to make a queen size bed and the bedroom has a king bed with a 20" flat panel TV. For your convenience, there is a full size range, dishwasher, new refrigerator and washer/dryer combo.

Now, let me tell you how to spend the perfect day at Azure Vista. Go for an early morning run (or stroll) on the beach. Come back and enjoy a nice shower. Cook up some bacon and eggs in the fully equiped kitchen and sip some coffee on the covered porch.

Drive into town and pick up some bait, then come back and go fishing right outside on the beach. It should be pretty easy to catch dinner, but if you don't have any luck, hop in the car and drive down the road to Seven Seas Grocery. Bag up some big Gulf Shrimp from the ice filled cooler inside. These babies were swimming in the Gulf last night. If steak is your thing, this place has the best on the Island.

Bring back your groceries and fire up the Weber BBQ Grill. It always tastes better by the beach. After dinner, relax for a couple of hours - or the rest of the night - it's already been a wonderful day. Or, go out to one of the beachside bars and sip some cold beer or drink a Margarita.

Get a good night's sleep, wake up to the sounds of the ocean and do it again tomorrow!

Azure Vista is located in the Palm Beach sub-division just 8 miles from 61st Street and the Sea Wall. We are on West Beach and are in between Pirates Beach and Pirates Beach West. Our house is the last one on Vista Blvd on the west side of the street.

The city and state workers are sifting all of the sand on the West End beaches and clearing away any debris left behind by Ike. Rest assured, the beaches will be safe and clean for your vacation rental this season.

Moody Gardens is approximately a 15 minute drive away and features a wealth of attractions and activities for young and old alike. There are some wonderful seafood restaurants on the Seawall in Galveston, including Landry's and Guidos. I highly recommend both of them. Waterman's Restaurant is located about 1 mile from us. The atmosphere is very nice there and you can dine overlooking the bay.

This little beach house is located right next to the ocean. It has everything you could possibly need for two people (and maybe a couple more). It is very clean and well-equipped. The bed is comfy and there's a nice big TV in the main room, as well as a cute fireplace. Two thumbs up!

The location is amazing - you can hear the surf almost constantly. Beach house came with everything we needed - very clean and cozy - an ideal getaway for a couple. Best sleep I've had in months! Would recommend it in a heartbeat.
