Great 2 bedroom, 2 bath beach house located on the far west side of Galveston Island. This community, Pointe San Luis, has less homes than most beachside communities and renters have access to the largest beaches on Galveston Island. "A Shore Thing" beachside beach house is located 600 feet from the beach. In addition, this area of Galveston is the narrowest part of the Island, and
provides excellent views of the both the bay and ocean.
Off season is a great time to visit Galveston Island! Please review our affordable offseason rental fees.

My family and I stayed in A Shore Thing for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time. This was our first time to stay on the west end of Galveston Island. It was peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. Even with the holiday weekend, traffic wasn't bad at all. The house itself was great. We had no problems with any appliances, air conditioning, etc. If there was any problem, it was the mattresses on the bunk beds. My son had a hard time sleeping on them. He even stacked two of them together and still had problems. If I could change anything at all in this house, I would put a better quality mattress in it.

We loved the High View lodge. It is a beautiful rental on a quiet location of the beach, but close enough to shop. Will stay there again if we have the chance. Thanks for a wonderful time.

The house is very nice with deck. The AC didn't work on the first day. It got fixed the next day. There was no detergent available . They should stock single use size for purchase.

The house was comfortable, ideally located and relatively clean. My parents joined me late and they endured broken lower bunk beds. When we opened one of the sofa beds, the sheets were mildewy. Had to wash them and air out the mattresses. Pots and pans were old and bent. The patio chairs - backs were broken. Just a bit of upkeep needed.

This place looks wonderful, and so relaxing! But we never got it, because someone never contacted us back. && after we heard some tar balls were hitting Galveston. But it still looks like a great place!

WE DID NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. WE STAYED AT TERRAMMAR 121-CABEZAS. We had a family vacation here, us children and grandchildren. It was absoluely perfect for the location - not ON the beach so we didn't have to worry about the little ones running off, yet able to see the waves come in. Fully equiped for young children, and we brought way to much "stuff" because it was fully equiped. It was a perfect size for 6 - 7 and 3 children. No crowding, and everyone STILL talking about that "wonderful" place!! Especially our 5 year old "princess", who got to sleep in the princess bed. I loved the clean, white rocking chairs that could be put on the porch - rock, drink coffee and watch the waves in the mornings!! And - a perfect, fairly private shower downstairs, before going upstairs, to get all the sand off and keep the house clean!! We've told our friends, and they love all the little extra special things! We don't live far away, but this is a little paradize in our back yard!

We visited the this beach house for a week in July and loved it. The owners put a lot of effort into decorated and making it cozy for their guests. This house had everything, including wireless internet access! All the beaches on this part of the island are the nicest. Very large beaches and clean! I would recommend for any of my friends to stay here.

Rented this house the week of July 17th and had a blast! The house is SO cute and VERY clean. We spent most of our time on the seawall but when we were at the house it was great because you can walk from the house to the beach! No having to load up the car just to swim!Anyway, it was a great vacation! We'll be renting this house again! =)
