Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

On Galveston's quiet west beach, Andrea's Retreat sits where the road ends and beach begins. Ideal for one or two couples or a small family, it is pet friendly and is furnished to make your vacation a pleasant stay. Featuring a 42 inch LCD TV, DVD/CD/IPOD players, with cable, free phone calls, complimentary Netflix shows plus a TV in the master bedroom. The kitchen includes a large bar area for eating or gathering. A large outdoor shower accommodates the family and pets. A heat pump provides both central air conditioning and heating. Recently added is a large, bar height dining table for 6 that is great for table games as well as dining.

Area Information

The community is a collection of small houses primarily used for vacation homes. There are some permanent residents in the area, which gives a lived-in feeling to the area. It is situated between Pirate's Beach and Pirate's Beach West, two very expensive vacation house properties. A Texas state park is located about a mile west of the property, offering amenities such as bird watching tours. Plenty of small restaurants, groceries and gas stations and only a few miles into Galveston and other tourist attractions by 4 lane divided highway.

Great Getaway!

What a lovely place to stay. The house has a good view of the beach and it's just a few steps to the water. We stayed for a week and there was a time or two on the weekdays I went for a long walk and didn't pass a single person. The kitchen was very well equipped and we only went into town to eat a couple of times. Very peaceful.

The Perfect Spot

Andrea's Retreat was the perfect spot to meet up for a relaxing and comfortable stay on Galveston's beautiful island. The property was thoughtfully equipped with everything one would need, and then some. The house was so close to the sunrises, you thought you could touch them, and the sounds and smells of the gulf rocked us into a sound and peaceful sleep each night. The owner could not have been more responsive and helpful both during the initial rent up and during our stay. Having never been to the island before, we did not know what to expect...Andrea's exceeded all of our expectations and is a great space for a smaller group looking for a fabulous beach front place.

We greatly appreciate this guest's review. This is from two families (brother/sister) who live on opposite sides of the U.S. and chose Galveston as a middle ground for a get-together. We had the opportunity to meet these folks and greatly enjoyed visiting with them.
