Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

Keep the sand out of the car. Dont drive -- walk. Amber Sand is a beachside home located in Pirates Beach area of Galveston. One of the premier residential locations on the West side of Galveston. There is a great surf view from the large deck with a short walk to the beach.

This four bedroom, 2 bath home has been recently renovated fall 2010. It has glorious hardwood floors, and high ceiling with skylights to make it feel very spacious. The home sleeps 12 comfortably.

The master bedroom has a king bed and full size futon. The large guest room has a king bed and new full size bed. The front guest bedroom has a plush full size bed and a full size futon.

The fourth bedroom is decorated for children and has a set of bunk beds. For your convenience the washer & dryer have been moved upstairs to this room and are closeted there. Please see photos to view sleeping arrangements.

Amber Sand has a large kitchen, all the dishes, silver and glass ware for 12. It has Central AC, Cable TVs, DVD Players, Wifi Internet, Dishwasher, Outside Shower, Charcoal BBQ Grill, Fireplace, Amber Sand is pet friendly but requires a non-refundable $100 per pet fee - maximum 2 pets each under 50 lbs. There is a kayak in the garage and a large nylon wing span kite to sail.

A porta crib and high chair hide in a bedroom closet if you need these items. If there is a snorer among you, there is a long comfy leather sofa in the living room. More than one has slept there.

Your phone will work great to search, send and receive messages. Wifi is available for your pc. Ask for a login.

Early risers -- you will meet others if you walk to the beach famous for taking early sunrise photos. Or
grab your coffee, sit outside or run to the store "literally" for a newspaper.

Area Information

Pirates Beach rentals are very popular due to location bordering the beach and privacy of the area. With the beach right there you can easily lounge on the beach several times a day.

Great Bay or Ocean Fishing and Golf are nearby. At the entrance to the neigborhood there are several small stores with a small full service grocery right down the road. Galveston Island State Park is directly west of the neighborhood for nature and bird lovers. There is an abundance of beautiful water fowl. Local attractions include many restaurants, Coastal Birding Trail, Moody Gardens Rainforest Pyramids, IMAX 3D Theater and the Discovery Museum just a few minutes drive.

The Historic District offers unique shops, upscale restaurants, art galleries, historic home tours and live music. Dont forget the Stand for Shopping and a walk onboard the tall ship Elissa. If you are an antique person, there are several good shops in the area. If it is Food you love -- there is a list of restaurants for you to try !

Deposits: A 50% security deposit is required to secure. The remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to rental. Any other rental amounts (doggy fee, security deposit) must be paid 30 days prior to the rental date. There is a 3 day minimum on holidays. A paypal link can be provided or you may pay deposits by check 3 weeks in advance of date.

Other Fees: If you choose Linens and towels are available for use. We do ask you leave fresh and folded. There are two locked owner closets. DO NOT OPEN. Call if you need something. There are two large closets ready for your personal use plus the kitchen pantry; twelve dresser drawers that are empty in bedrooms

trouble-free vacation - priceless!

We planned a vacation for ourselves, my brother's and my cousin's families. We had 10 people and we chose this house because there was an actual bed for each person. What we found surpassed our expectations. The house was immaculate, well-stocked and everything worked. (We had a brief glitch with the WiFi and the owner contacted support immediately and we were back in business). The view from the deck is awesome. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the sun or the shade. We walked to the beach several times a day and an outside water source allowed us to rinse off before going back in the house. We had use of a charcoal grill and a gas grill was available if you have your own tank. There is a little convenience store nearby and a short drive along the seawall brings you to larger stores. We hope to vacation here again. Cherished memories begin with choosing the perfect environment. We did just that. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This was a wonderful home for our family! There was plenty of room for the 10 of us. We loved the big den for relaxing in the evening. The dining table was perfect for gathering around to play games. We enjoyed the spacious porch where we had dinner each night. The close accessibility to the beach was a definite plus. The house was clean, and everything worked. A good time was had by all!

Fabulous Easter Week-End

April 28, 2012

Our family gathered at Amber Sand for Easter Week-End. It was a large family gathering and our first time to do a rental thing. We had a great time! The beach was a short walk away plus the "in town" sights were a short drive away. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Bonnie met us with the key and it was smooth sailing the whole time. The weather was wonderful and we so enjoyed sitting out on the porch and visiting. We chose to wash the linens before we left and left, we felt, the house in good order. We got our deposit back promptly,so Bonnie must have thought so, too. Would recommend a stay here any time. It was all a pleasant experience.

Relaxing

Our three families had a very relaxing weekend at the beach house. We had sixteen people in our group and had plenty of room for everyone without feeling crowded. The walk to the beach was only 2 minutes away and was at a location where there were no vehicles allowed so it was not crowded. However, if you wanted to take your vehicle , that drive was just 1 minute in the opposite direction. Our family would definitely rent this house again and recommend it to our friends. We did have one small cliche but the owner took care of it in a matter of minutes!

We Really Enjoyed The 2 Days We Were There. The Beach Was In Walking Distance. We Forget Our Own Linens, So We Had To Use Theirs, Which Mean We Had To Get Up Early To Do Laundry On Sunday So I Could Get My Refundable Deposit. Which I Did Reicved.
