Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

Welcome to the amazingly affordable Sunset Bungalow in Galveston. We have four bedrooms and three bathrooms which are waterfront. Our home is located on the very popular West End of Galveston, in Jamaica Beach. Sunset Bungalow is configured with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths up and 1 bedroom with bath down. This option works well for family's that have older members that don't want to climb stairs or for parents that want to give teenagers some space. We have 2 large deck areas with clear, unobstructed sunset and water views. Very nice and comfy.

Jamaica Beach and most major local attractions are very close by. The Schlitterbahn Water Park, Moody Gardens, the Pleasure Pier, both private and public golf courses and The Confederate Air Force Museum are 10-15 minutes away. The very popular historic Strand District and Cruise Ship Terminal are 25 minutes away.

We rent all 365 days with a very reasonable $235 per night ( based on weekly rate “) . Other standard charges apply. This house is newly renovated and maintained to a high standard by the owners who are full time residents and are just minutes away. Sunset Bungalow is a canl home with lighted boat dock & was completed in January 2010. What makes Sunset Bungalow great is our affordable rates, beautiful views and superior canal location... so bring your boat.

Enjoy crabbing & fishing right off the lighted boat dock or, just hang out on either of the two large decks on the front and rear of the house. Wireless internet available; TV, CD, VCR, refrigerator along with ice maker & video library . and everything possibly needed are included.

Upstairs, we offer 3 bedrooms with two queens and two twins. Our lower level has 1 bedroom with one double trundle with private 1 Bath for a total of 10 accommodation.

It's a pet friendly unit: charge= $75 per pet (Limit 2) which is non refundable.

All rates are subject to 15% state & local tax, a $75.00 cleaning fee and $19.00 processing fee for c/c transactions.

Area Information

Enjoy the very popular Galveston West End. Close to all attractions with an added bonus of the Jamaica Beach beach where you can find perhaps the best sharks tooth hunting grounds.

San Luis pass is 15 minutes for some great fishing areas. Many wetland and beach areas to explore.

For special occasions, we have access to about every conceivable service and party rental. Let us know what your needs are and we will help make it a great occasion and memory.

We do have a rental policy which excludes single people under the age of 26. Sorry but, past experience make this policy necessary.

Great Stay!

It was great! The beach house had plenty of room for us. We had a party of seven. The beach was close and the community nice. It was close to Galveston so we could go in at anytime and enjoy the sites. Just remember to add money for the toll in your budget. It is $2.00 each way. We will rent again next year.

Great time, place, setting for family get together. Kids loved the proximity of the beach and then relaxing after fishing and crabbing in the canal. Furnishings were great, friendly neighbors, we had a great time and look forward to coming back!

Sunset Bungalow

August 1, 2012

Very nice, clean house. Very peaceful and quiet during the week. The only negative was the downstairs bedroom was moldy smelling, and we couldn't use it. Got better with AC on, but still not good. Great location, and very neat having the canal as the backyard.

Thanks Mike for letting us know. We are taking steps to find the reason behind the odor and will make it right. It could be all the rain in the weeks before you came. Galveston had about 15 inches and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Sunset Bungalow was great!

We were very pleased with our choice of the sunset bungalow. We stayed for a long weekend with 2 families and had small children along and all of us enjoyed the home. It held up to our expectations and we all had a blast!! Kids and adults alike loved the fishing right from the home and the crab trap! The short distance to the beach was perfect and the beaches on that side of the island were far more superior to the other beaches we've previously visited in Galveston! We were very pleased and hickey recommend this property!
