We had a great time at this house near the beach in Galveston. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main Seawall drag, but close enough for the times we wanted to venture in. The house was in excellent condition and had plenty of room for myself, my wife, and 4 boys. It was stocked with everything we needed for the 4 days we were there. We made extensive use of the grill, the hammock, and all the outdoor chairs. We were given a couple boogie boards by some strangers our first day on the beach, we decided to pay it forward and leave them there to go with all the rest of the cool stuff at the house. Hopefully others enjoy them and this house as much as we did. Thanks John and Mark, we had a blast! McD Family

They thought of everything to make your stay a home away from home. The sleeping arrangments were more than enough for all of us, we had my boyfriend, 2 children, his mom and I. Out of all the places we have stayed over the years on vacation, we really hated to leave this home. I will absolutely be back to this house!!

This was our first time taking a vacation as a family. My daughter is almost 2, so we thought we would take a small trip not too far away. We found this listing on the internet, and loved how nice it was kept. We also loved the price - for 3 days, taxes and cleaning fee included was cheaper than 2 nights without the taxes and cleaning at most other places. It didn't bother us that it was not right on the beach, because we could drive all of our gear right on to the beach. With a little one, you tend to have a lot more stuff. The house was very clean and super cute! These guys thought of everything! We especially enjoyed sitting on the bottom porch, feeling the nice breeze at night and watching the kids play around the yard. Best 1st vacation for our family, and we will be back!!

We're so glad you enjoyed your visit to Galveston. We do try to keep our rates affordable for smaller families on a budget. And by managing the property ourselves, we can avoid all the "add-on" fees that most vacation rental agencies charge. Again, we're glad you had fun, and look forward to seeing you again soon!

When we searched for a place to "hide-out" by the beach, away from party-crazy Spring Breakers in Galveston, it seemed impossible. However, when we found Seahorse Landing, our prayers were answered. Two spacious bedrooms, full kitchen, an open floor plan, long deck with constant sea breeze located way down the island past Jamaica Beach where more islanders live than rent. Tasteful furnishings and updated amenities provided a lovely setting for a much needed restful visit with extended family. Once we had groceries, there was no reason to leave...except to walk to the beach, of course. Loved watching the sunset on the bay from the deck. Ahhh...

We're glad you had an enjoyable mini-vacation. We love that the Bay Harbor neighborhood is quieter than most, even if it is a little further from the city. Most of the year, it's like having your own private beach, far away from the crowds!

Loved the view of the sky and the water but wished we were closer to the water. Enjoyed the availability of beach and bay! Quiet neighbors! Very Very Very comfortable inside decor-nicely accessorized to the T! Kitchen was well stocked for preparation of any meal! Umbrellas for your drink on the bar-Nice Touch! Very cordial hosts by email! Had a grand time!

We're glad you had a great time, and that you were comfortable in our home. While we can't change the distance to the water, we do everything we can to provide the best experience possible. Hopefully the little things made up for being 300 yards from the beach!
