We recently stayed at the "Cozy Cottage" for our family celebration of Sept birthdays and had a very enjoyable time. The house was very clean and the grass mowed which was much appreciated by our 3 year old grandson and my son's dog. The access to the beach was great-and the beach itself was the cleanest I have ever seen Galveston in all the many years we have been coming to Galveston. The kitchen was fully furnished as described, and even with 7 adults and 1 child, we were able to cook breakfast both days for everyone. All in all, we enjoyed our stay!

When we arrived my family and I were very excited. We thought the cozy cottage was in a very nice neighborhood and the perfect size for our family of five. The neighbors were out on either side of the house and were very friendly. I had a few issues but nothing big enough to alert the owner. The kitchen did not have anything to bake on. And there was a broken drawer that needs to be replaced. There was dog pee on the master comforter so I had to wash it. I also washed all of the towels because they felt rough like they had dried hanging up and had a bad smell. The shower upstairs was not clean. Mildew on the liner and bathmat in shower was dirty. Down stairs had an unpleasant smell not sure what it was. And down stairs in the bathroom the rug was stuck to the floor (not sure if it was urine or not). I was also disappointed that the only way to get upstairs from down stairs was an outside door. I assumed there would be a stairway connecting the two from inside the house. I was not comfortable leaving my preteen girls down there by themselves so most of our trip we all slept upstairs and they slept on the couch. The house was decorated nice and had plenty of room. And well maintained on the outside. Overall, we enjoyed our stay after i cleaned. But we would not stay at the cozy cottage again.

My adult children and i planned a long weekend for a family fun trip. We found this house using this great site. We had a great time and the house really meet all our needs. The ones that wanted to fish had a short drive to fish and the beach goers got their beach time. We totally enjoyed our visit and are already planning for next summer. Thanks, Terry for being a wonderful host and and answering all our questions prior to the trip. We definitely recommend this property for a family.

What a cozy, clean, comfortable house! The sunsets over the bay were lovely, the neighborhood quiet and peaceful. This is a place to relax, unwind, and do nothing at all. I especially appreciated being able to bring our dog - she wasn't much for the beach, but she was glad to be with her people. The house is conveniently located - easy to find, easy to get to beach and into Galveston. It had everything we needed for the week. It was fresh and clean and light. We tried Nate's, as recommended - and it was very nice in both food and service. I do recommend this house for those looking for a relaxed, easy-going vacation away from hectic and overly busy schedules. Kick your shoes off, sit a spell, and enjoy the breeze....

We stayed at Cozy Cottage the week of July 7th with 7 adults, 1 child and 2 babies. The house was clean and had huge bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped and plenty of seating to eat. The downstairs area seemed a little musty, but it had rained ALL WEEK so that is to be expected. Thanks to Terry for promptly (within hours) for replacing the window air conditioner unit downstairs. The location and the top deck were awesome and well worth the money spent. Easy ride to the beach and the attractions. In spite of the daily rain and the 1 day e-coli scare in the water, we had a great time.

Everything was amazing! We had everything we needed and we had a blast! We spent a lot of time out on the deck :) We cooked every night and the kitchen was great. Thanks for everything and we look forward to renting from yall again!

The Cozy Cottage handled 6 adults and 5 grand children with flying colors! The kitchen was fully equipped and the house was in good shape. We enjoyed playing games at night while the kids watched the movies provided my Cozy Cottage. thanks for a great weekend.

We had a family wedding to attend so we just make it a short vaction. Everything was just as it was explained, no suprises! What a change from the norm. We had a great time, the bed was great slept very good, kicked back and relaxed. Thank you so much

A group of friends and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Location is excellent, plenty of amenities nearby, neighbors were really nice. When we arrived, the wi-fi wasn't working, but Terry had everything taken care of in a flash. This really is an excellent place for a getaway, and you can't beat the price.

My husband and I stayed the weekend of our 6th wedding anniversary. When we arrived and opened the door the house was spotless! We had already read the reviews about how comfortable the bed was, but the bed was REALLY comfortable! Flat screen TV in the living room, a better BBQ pit than we have at home, kitchen fully stocked with everything you need, including a brand new fridge just bring your food. The covered front porch was huge and we enjoyed our coffee each morning. The backyard is fully fenced, wonderful landscape and so relaxing...that's where we enjoyed our evenings. Linens were clean and fresh. The neighbor hood was so quiet and relaxing. So close to the beach! We had the most wonderful weekend; it will be our new anniversary tradition!

Great value! The rental sleeps six comfortably. It will sleep 8 comfortably if privacy is not an issue. We had our two sons and their families in from Washington State along with several local visitors and there was ample space. Our beds were comfortable and the lines fresh. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well supplied. We cooked turkey, dressing, and fixings for Christmas day and the kitchen served us well. Being a former restaurant operator, I was impressed. Dining area and kitchen offers plenty of space for a large crowd to eat/snack and/or participate in multiple activities from, conversation to board/card games to watching TV. There are two dining tables! The wrap around deck is huge with plenty of deck chairs. A short 1 minute drive or a 10 minute walk will get you to the beach. Terry, the owner, was always very cooperative, informative, and accessible. We plan to work on making holidays in Galveston a tradition.

As a college student, my friends and I were looking for a mini vacation to get away for New Years. The house was perfect, and very clean. Although it is a little far from all the "excitement" of Galveston i.e. the strand, the seawall. It was nice to get away from the noise and traffic. The beach was beautiful, and Terry was extremely helpful. Thanks for a New Years I will not be forgetting. Go Bucs!

We rented the Cozy Cottage the week of Thanksgiving. We have family in Galveston and needed more room to accomodate everyone. The Cozy Cottage turned into home the minute we opened the door. Everything was wonderful and as we would have hoped. We laughed at the fact that some of the family games we brought with us were already in the bookshelf waiting for us. The neighborhood was quiet and yet close to everything we needed. Terry was very easy to work with and made reserving the home a piece of cake. We sould highly recommend this home for anyone staying in Galveston. Super clean, super friendly and super easy to deal with. Thanks for everything. Steve and kalah

Nice quite street, it was clean, however, there was no bath soap or dishwashing soap and there were several light bulbs burned out and not replaced. The downstairs was musty but once aired out was okay.

This was the best place we've stayed thus far and it meet all our needs. The beds were comfortable and we loved sitting out on the deck. The enclosed fence was perfect for our dog. We look foward to coming back next year.

After five years of marriage, my wife and I decided to renew our vows. So we thought there was no better way then to spend a month on the beach. By staying at Cozy Cottage it made everything easier on us, all we had to do was unpack the car, everything else was taken care of. Anything and everything that you could need was already there, all we had to do was relax and enjoy the wonderful house. It was very spacious and roomy. We had such a great time. We spent a lot of time at the beach, shopping at all the stores, and eating at all the great restaurants. There is a grill out on the deck that we used quiet frequently. The view of the stars at night were gorgeous. It was so peaceful just sitting on the front porch in the evenings enjoying the ocean breeze. There is a playground around the corner that the kids played at. Terry was very helpful and we enjoyed the whole beach experience. The house was a great way to spend some much needed time together and it will always be an unforgettable memory, we will definitely do this again in the future. It was money well spent and look forward to our next stay! Thanks Terry and Jeanne!!

My husband and I had never rented a beach house before. We were having a graduation party for my daughter. It was wonderful to be able to handle so many of the arrangements online. There were so many plans to make we really appreciated Terry giving us so much information about the area so that we could get everything together for the party. It would have been much more difficult had he not been so helpful. The only surprise I had was that it was even nicer than the photos had shown it to be! It was decorated so cute and there were all kinds of cute little decorations (like the guy on the bike in the bathroom) and thoughtful items (games and puzzles) at Cozy Cottage to make our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was exactly like Terry had said. I had expected there to be problems because usually when you make these type of plans without having seen it in person, it never works out well. But in this situation, it worked out better! Everyone had a fantastic time! The deck was wonderful, the breeze fantastic. The downstairs bedrooms were laid out perfect. The kids could easily clean up from the beach, in their own shower, without tracking it upstairs. The A/C's upstairs and downstairs worked great. You could access the washer/dryer from a separate door so as not to disturb anyone downstairs if you needed to. It was the best weekend I had in a long time. I cannot wait for next summer! Thank you so much Terry for making my daughter's graduation weekend even more special. It means so much to us!

I just want to thank Terry and his wife for sharing their Cozy Cottage with my family and me. I must say, it was like arriving home because it had everything we needed to come home too. My husband and I most enjoyed the wonderful fresh breezes and drinking some great refreshments, out on the beautiful deck. The kiddos enjoyed having the whole downstairs area to themselves practically. Most of all, they were glad to watch their favorite cable shows & cooling down after a long day out at the beach because they had their own TV and AC. By the way, the beach was easily accessible and only took less than 5 minutes to get to it. One thing my husband was greatful for was that he was able to grill and that it was right out by the kitchen area. While staying at the Cozy Cottage, Terry and his wife stopped by to invite us to hear a band play and a crawfish boil in the neighborhood park, I believe he said. Though we were unable to attend cause we were so beat from being out in the sun, all day, it was very nice of them to do that. Also, the neighbors were very friendly and full of smiles. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our Memorial Day weekend trip and had such wonderful people to make it happen for us! First of all Terry Hudson is so wonderfull, our trip was last minute, and he worked with us and was so patient the whole time. Im very thankful to have found such wonderful customer service, it's hard to find anymore.Our weekend went by way too fast. The Cozy Cottage was wonderful, there were 7 of us and we were perfectly comfortable. We had plenty of room and pretty much everything we needed. Jamica Beach is wonderful, and the neighborhood was quiet and peacefull. There is a gas station littleraly two minutes from the house and the beach is about 3 minutes from the house. The seawall is about 10 minutes from the house, it's just the right distance from all the traffic and people from downtown. In closing, our weekend was SPECTACULAR!! it couldnt have been better. And we will stay at the Cozy Cottage again! Thanks to the Hudsons!
