Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

Don't stay at an overpriced hotel. Our West End house in Sea Isle subdivision on Galveston Island's West Beach is located within easy walking distance from the beach (4/10 mi.), a marina with 2 private boat ramps, a private swimming pool, private, lighted fishing pier, tennis court, a bar and two restaurants. We have a lovely view of the bay and there's a bird sanctuary right across the street. Amenities include a full kitchen, jacuzzi bathtub, two flat screen TV's with satellite, washer & dryer and much more. Wi-Fi available for a fee. Sleeps 4-6 comfortably with a queen size bed in the bedroom, twin bunk beds in a separate, unconnected downstairs bedroom & a fold out innerspring queen size sofa in the living area. There's even a driveway next to the house for your fishing boat or RV with electricity & water hookups and a private outdoor shower for after beach rinse-offs! Our house is surrounded by lot's of tropical plants and palm trees and has a nice covered area underneath to sit and enjoy the cool Gulf breezes or have a Happy Hour in your own 'Tiki Bar'. You can catch Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder and Crabs or just watch the sunset over Galveston Bay at the fishing pier a few short blocks away. Sea Isle also has a private beach parking area with a walkway over the dunes to get to the beach. Rent a golf cart available from several vendors close by and cruise Sea Isle in style!

Area Information

Sea Isle is located about 20 minutes from such great attractions as Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Moody Gardens, the Strand downtown historical district and Galveston's brand new Pleasure Pier. We are less than an hour from Hobby Airport in Houston so you won't spend a lot of time getting here.

West Isle Cottage

Our stay was wonderful . The cottage was comfortable and really near the Beach and Bay and even had the availability of a fishing pier in the Bay. The kitchen was outfitted so that we did some cooking ..The bedroom was really nice with the ocean breezes. The place has ceiling fans in the living rooms and the bedroom which really help to cool.. The owners were so thoughtful --ice chests, deck and beach chairs. Our grand son and his wife stayed in the downstairs and said that it was comfortable , too. I would heartily recommend this cottage, Again the owners are great and gracious.

Awesome Location & Perfect Size!

My husband and I wanted to take our 2 1/2 year old son to the beach for the first time and we had a blast! The house is the perfect size. It is well kept and is very clean (The bed is very comfy!), with all the necessary amenities. The price is also a bonus as it fit in our budget for just a weekend getaway. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach is just a two minute drive away. The outside shower is nice for rinsing off. The marina store is right around the corner and the attractions, such as Moody Gardens and Pleasure Pier are just a short 20 minute drive back in to town. The owners are gracious hosts and respond very quickly with any questions and/or concerns. We would definitely like to come stay here again.

Q:How far is the house from the beach?

A:Ouir house is 4/10ths of a mile from the Gulf of Mexico and a public beach parking area. There is a private beach parking area with a dune walkover for Sea Isle less than a mile from the house.

Q:How far from town is the house?

A:Our house is about a twenty minute drive to Galveston's Seawall, Pleasure Pier, Strand area, Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens and all of the other wonderful things Galveston has to offer. It is much less crowded and more family oriented on the beaches of Galveston's West End.

Q:Where is the closest restaurant? Bar?

A:There are two restaurants and one bar at the Marina in Sea Isle, less than 1/2 mile from our house. There is another restaurant/bar and a full grocery less than 5 miles away.
