Description of the Galveston vacation villa rental

Downstairs one bedroom, one bath, fenced villa located on a secluded end of a dead end street within walking distance of the beach (5 blocks). Jamaica Dream does not boast a Gulf view, however we are close enough to see the beach. On most days along with the call of many birds, the roar of the gulf is ever-present. There is a private front door entrance and a back door entrance-way is shared with upstairs. Please see all the pictures of the amenities offered at Jamaica Dream.

The entire property is dotted with various-type gardens: tropical, vegetable/fruit, beach including various flowering vines hurricane Ike left behind, and more depending upon the season. The papaya trees in Jamaica Dream's fenced area are thriving and filled with flowers and fruit. Most of the other "trees" are new and another full season should bring more flowers and fruit.

Dogs are welcome at Jamaica Dream. We provide doggie bags for waste disposal. There is a leash law in Jamaica Beach and dogs are welcome on the beach.

Area Description

Jamaica Dream is located in The Village of Jamaica Beach on the West-end of Galveston Island. We are two blocks from the fire and police station, restaurant, gift shop, convenient stores, Baptist and Catholic churches, liquor store and more, and less than 5 blocks from the beach. A boat launch is available with just a short canal trip to West Bay.

Capt. Ron Woods is booking 4-hr and 6-hr Galveston Bay fishing trips leaving daily from the Galveston Yacht Basin. Trips include fishing "Selma" the concrete ship, the jetties, and the Galveston Ship Channel. With the annual fall flounder run in full swing, trips are booking fast. The annual bull red drum run has been fantastic and reports are that there are still plenty being caught. The golden croaker run is underway providing lots of fun catching the larger than usual aggressive fish. Call or email to book your Galveston Bay fishing trip.
