Gorgeous views. Big house. Nice pool & deck.

We had a great time at this house. The pool was lovely, and the back deck was shady and cool -- perfect for coffee in the morning and relaxing at the end of the day. At night we watched thunderstorms come up over the Gunks, and it was the best light show ever. It is an older farm house and it's a little funky, but it's very clean. It's also extremely private. The owners are nice, and they shared their kids toys with us. The fridge and dishwasher were brand new. The furniture is comfortable. It's a well loved home. There's so much to do inside and out. It's in a good location for hiking, cycling and is minutes to downtown Gardiner. It's also worthwhile to visit the White Cliff winery right behind the house. Bring a picnic, have some wine, and take in the view. Such an amazing place. We will be back. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Weekend Getaway

January 30, 2011

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend in January. The house was great. Other than the lack of internet it has everything you might want. The house is very old, but refurbished very nicely. The kitchen was very easy to use and the game areas were especially appreciated with the ping pong, pool, and foosball tables.
