Booking/Reservation and Payment Policy:

Booking Deposit & Confirmation of Reservation:
The booking and resevation is confirmed only after a deposit of 50 percent of rent is received by the landlord.

Balance Payment:
Balance of rent is due on arrival before check-in.

Security/Damage Deposit:
A refundable security/damage deposit of 50 percent of rent is nedded and to be paid while check-in.
The Security/Damage Deposit will be refunded back to guests if no dameage to our property.

Payment Methods:
Prefer Email Money Transfer, PayPal, or Cash.
If guests choose personal Cheque, we need 20 days to cash it prior to check-in.

A wonderful Vacation House - Champlain Park House

My name is Vivian from Calgary AB, Canada. I booked this house for a 6 members of a sport team who came from Estonia, Europe, for 5 nights from 12 Feb to 17 Feb 2013. This team with team leader's name as Ivi Normet, felt comfortable about this great Champlain Park House and had enjoyed their 7 days in Ottawa. On requests of Mrs. Ivi Norment, I would like to rate this wonderful Champlain Park House as 5 star Vacation Home!

The best vacation !

I would mark this house as a five star vacation house. My name is Michael, living in Gatineau, Capitol area of Canada. I just had a country fellow who has 6 family members lived in Mr. Joe's house from 10 February to 24 February. The owner manages this house in excellent condition and provided his best to the guest. The 2 storeys house has 6 bedrooms, all in large size and sunny bright, equipped with new Queen size comfort mattress bed in 5 bedrooms, plus a king size bed in the Master. The house is located in Aylmer, Gatineau, Quebec side of Federal Capitol area, 10 minutes driving distance to Capitol Hill of Parliament, downtown of Ottawa. There are also two shopping malls within 5 minutes driving distances from this house. Although the house is so convenient with its location and in transportation, but to surprises of the guests, it's also so quiet and peaceful as it is in a community of high class properties. My friends spent two wonderful weeks and are now waiting for the next time to come in Canada. If my other country fellows come to Ottawa, I would like to recommend this 5 stars Champlain Park House again!

Could have been cleaner, but there is lots of room

This house has lots of space, but wasn't very clean, which is the reason we only gave it a 3 star rating, otherwise we would have given it a 4. If you rent, ask that it be cleaned before you arrive and then check before you pay. We left it very clean, so the next people won't have to worry. It has lots of large sunny rooms and new matresses, which were comfortable. The furniture was basic, and another plus is that it had a TV, with cable and internet connection. The kitchen was spacious, but only has a few plates, cutlery and pots etc. There are no bedside tables or reading lamps, so bring your own and the sheets and towels were mismatched and old, so again bring your own. There is a working washer and drier, which was very convienent. The backyard is large and fenced and there is a hot tub and two car garage (good when it is snowy). It is about 15 minutes to the parliment buildings and is in a very nice neighbourhood. Two of the bedrooms are in the sunny basement with a full bathroom. One of the bedrooms is on the main floor and upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. There is only one dresser, which is in the master bedroom, but there are lots of closets to hang clothes. There is no shopping or restaurants closeby.

There is a rush for New Year holiday while this family checked-in. as we have a family just checked out on the same day, which left us very limited time to make the house perfect this time.

We will improve our service in the future and make this excellent house perfect!

breathtaking setting

House is not quite as described and in a very remote area without wireless or cell service. However, it is very comfortable and the owners were welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely consider renting this again, and would recommend it to friends. The scenery and quiet peace are out of this world.

Regarding "House is not quite as described and in a very remote area without wireless or cell service" as commented, it's not true or not correct. Here BELOW are reasons:

1, The house is located in a community with properties in millions, and surrounded by 4 Golf courses, but just 11 km away from Parliament Hill (Federal Government of Canada), and 12 Km to Downtown of Ottawa, 13 Km to Universty of Ottawa. If this location called "remote area", I do not know where should be called "in city";

2. Definitely, "without wireless and cell service" is not true and not correct. Nowadays, there are wireless and cell service even in country side or farms outside of town. How is it possible that there are no wireless and cell service in a location just 11 km away from Parliament Hill, the centre of Federal Government of Canada?
