Area Description
The Great Exuma rests on the Tropic of Cancer, just 130 miles southeast of Nassau. Here, temperatures average 78°F, all year round. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters, the island's gently sloping beaches are floored in soft, white sand that simply invites sunning, snorkelling or wading. Sunlight refracts through the shallow water, creating a kaleidoscope of vivid aquamarine. Yet, this island paradise remains largely undiscovered, and home to only 3,400 residents.
