Description of the Georgetown vacation cottage rental
Views of the rugged Maine coast from a beautiful sandy beach on Indian Point. Very comfortable 3 bedroom, four season cottage right on the beach. Classic Maine views of pine tree covered Islands, majestic light houses and rocky coves littered with colorful lobster buoys. Great cottage for a family or a romantic getaway. The cottage interior is all natural pine with a stone fireplace. The open kitchen/dining/ living room area over looks the beach and spectacular views.
A great place to be anytime from April through November!

Excellent vacation!

The cottage was right on the beach and the weather was outstanding for the entire trip. The views of the ocean from the cottage were breathtakingly amazing. The beach itself was super private with only the owners of the cottage and relatives of theirs having direct access. At high tide the beach was truly private with no real access available to others (not that others even came by during low tide, but in theory it was a possibility). Cliff and Norah Webster were very friendly and welcoming, and their cottage was well stocked with any utensils, towels or other items one would need at a cottage. My best advice would be to follow their advice on what to do and see. There are several unique locations, such as tidal flats and a state park that they directed us to that were truly awesome locations to visit. They also pointed out local restaurants that we enjoyed very much. Additionally, this rental was very family friendly and pet friendly. We brought not only ourselves, but my 1.5 year old son and our two dogs and Cliff and Norah were great with them. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a nice toddler high chair in the cottage (those without children could have easily kept it off to the side, but parents will really appreciate the added bonus of having one). All in all it was a fantastic trip that we plan on repeating again and again provided the stellar reviews they constantly receive don't tie up all the open vacation slots :)

Best best there is...

If you like the roaring surf just outside your window, or the sun blazing in on you in the morning while eating your oatmeal before a huge picture window, or a crackling fireplace on a chilly night, then you'll love Sewall's cottage. I've never had a better vacation experience. The solitude is remarkable, the cleanliness of the place is extraordinary, and the convenience of it is, well, it's not convenient to anything around and that is one of the beauties of the place. Indian point is remote even though there are neighbors within eyesight. Indian Point is a "big picture" place while at the same time intimate and cozy. And, Sewall's Cottage is everything that one could imagine in a cottage by the sea. Regretably, by writing a glowing review it will attract many people to it, and that does not bode well for someone who plans to return one day because it may be all booked up. But, truth be told, this is a remarkable experience for anyone who loves the ocean.

Peaceful and Beautiful getaway

The cottage, setting, views, everything was perfect. The location is drop dead gorgeous in any season, and even though it rained most of the time it was lovely. Very comfortable bed and the porch overlooking the sea was a perfect place to sit and have coffee while watching sea birds and the surf.

Except for record October hot weather...(from Dallas and wanting to get away from it)..the house was very comfortable and the view was spectacular with a rocky shore and sand beach just like a picture...the surrounding area was very beautiful with places to see and do to keep you very busy if you like good food, hiking etc.....hearing the ocean waves everyday we will miss...

Perfect Maine Oceanside Cabin!

The pictures of this home do it no justice! The home sits feet from the ocean, its beautiful!!! The home was absolutely perfect! It had all the supplies you would ever need! The only way it could have been better is if it didn't rain! Although, it didn't matter cause we borrowed the umbrella that was supplied! The owners are very pleasant to deal with! It was a perfect getaway! Thank you and we hope to be back next season!

The Holland's Beach House

My family and I just returned from our Ten day stay at the Holland's beach House. It's was wonderful !!! The house itself was warm and cosy,but the best thing was the location !! Couldn't get a better beach,almost private and so breath-taking ,It was the best vacation stay we have ever had.Remote,yet worth it.We plan to return there yearly.

The Perfect spot in Maine

The view from the Sewall Cottage was extraordinary. It combined a beautiful beach in front and to the side of the cottage with the best of Maine's rocky coastline. The cottage was also wonderful with views from the porch , the dining area and the kitchen. I felt the cottage was just the right size - cozy and very comfortable and well kept. We felt so lucky to be able to have this place for a week and hope to return.

We spent 5 nights at this cottage. The home provided all the amenities needed. Fabulous stone fireplace, spectacular views of the Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Breathtaking views of 15+ foot waves off the Promontory right outside the kitchen picture window. Plenty of beach and hiking access. Quiet and cozy surroundings. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for a group occasion. We will be back!
