We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend at this wonderful cottage. It was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed. Very privately located too. Will definitely go again!

I cannot comment on the cottage as I never got to stay there. The owner advertised one price and quoted me an entirely different one. When I politely questioned the difference in price, all communications ceased. I made a couple of additional attempts to communicate with her and she never responded. Left me to think she was a bit shady and I was better off looking elsewhere.
Gettysburg cabin stay
July 6, 2014
We were going to visit the Gettysburg battle site and stay at one of the many hotels nearby. by chance we came across the Vacation Home Rentals cabin in the Pennsyvania hills. it was a grerat experience! Close to the gettysburg site but secluded enough to ensure quiet evenings. The cabin was clean and had all the ameniities. Communication with Barbara was great and setting up our get away was easy. Hignly recommend this route to anyone visiting the area.

2 creeks review
June 8, 2014
Hi! We stayed at 2 creeks for a soccer tournament. It is close to Gettysburg. It is private and without the commotion of teams in blocks of hotel rooms. We stayed with another family and their kids and had a great cookout on the back deck. My only suggestion is to ask the owner to have someone turn the ac on or heat before you arrive, as the house sits on a very cool island between streams and smells "closed up" until well vented. We had a great time and it is perfect because there are 2 separate areas for the adults and kids to relax. Also, 2 kitchens made it convenient for cooking and packing coolers. Lastly, we all could eat together at the large family dining table and enjoy each other's company. That was nice!

A fantastic cozy cottage and wonderful owners!
July 16, 2013
We popped in for a few nights at the tail end of the spectacular 150th Commemoration of the Battle of Gettysburg. Having a comfortable home to return to after a long, hot day was a treasure. The air conditioning blew cold, the house was in great condition and we loved having the quiet of the woods. What great owners too! Very helpful and easy to work with from afar and they made everything simple with area guides and suggestions. Very happy to stay at the Cozy Cottage and we hope to be back again in a few years.

This rental property was accurately described when they used the word cozy - it was like taking a vacation and bringing home with you. We will be repeat custumers

Just This Side of Heaven
May 25, 2010
My husband and I spent a glorious week at this wonderful location in April. The setting was quiet, peaceful, and so relaxing. The owners were so easy to work with and we really enjoyed the fact we were able to share their vacation home. The entire stay seemed twice as long as a normal vacation. We truly felt like we were very close to Heaven there. Plan on returning hopefully in the fall. Hope the secret doesn't get out about this place. Really don't like waiting lists!

Had a Wonderful stay at this Cozy Cottage. Owners are VERY accommadating. This place is very homey with everything anyone may need. If your interested in visiting Gettysburg, this is the perfect place to stay. Be sure to use the audio CD for the tour of the Battlefields that was left behind. We did & loved it. I would definently recommend this to our friends. The cabin of theirs is very nice also. We did not stay in it but saw it. Both are VERY NICE.
Cozy Cottage Reunion
October 27, 2009
4 friends and I stayed at the Cozy Cottage this past weekend. We had a great time. The cabin was warm and inviting and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, the fireplace didn't work and we were not allowed to use the wood stove. Perhaps those items should be taken off this list of amenities. Otherwise, everything was really great!

A very nice cottage in a very quiet neighborhood. The cottage is nicely appointed. The kitchen appliances are very functional, but a little dated. The cottage was a little difficult to find after dark, but well worth the effort. The wooded surroundings were beautiful in the morning. We really enjoyed the Gettysburg area and would not hesitate to rent this cottage again on a return visit.

Something to consider
August 19, 2009
If you want a true getaway in the Gettysburg area with peace & quiet and the comforts of home, this is a place to consider. It is a 30-35 min. drive from the battlefield and is in a wooded, secluded location. Our family only had a few days, so we spent most of our time in Gettysburg, but if we had more time, we would have been able to enjoy the woods and parks and recreation nearby the cottage. It is an older home (more rustic than modern), but the appliances all worked well (including A/C), the beds were comfortable, and the shower was nice. There is a nice screened-in porch to sit and read or eat meals in. No cable or satellite, but many digital channels available (along with DVD/VCR). The owners were very pleasant and helpful and easy to work with. Keep in mind that Cozy Cottage is located further back in the woods and away from the main road than Cozy Cabin (#10880). Gettysburg is truly an incredible experience that will enrich your appreciation of our country's heritage.
