Description of the Glacier National Park vacation home rental

This cedar home is built in a rustic Montana style architecture. Relax and enjoy the views after an active day in the huge (eight person) hot tub. The rear deck is only a few feet from the south bank of the river.
The home has four bedrooms (2 queens, 3 twins, double), 2.5 baths, living/dining room (wood stove), kitchen with breakfast nook, TV room (double foldout), laundry room, and upstairs mezzanine (twin foldout), for a total of 2300 square feet. Other amenities include satellite TV, DVD, stereo with CD player, and wireless Internet access.
The home is furnished with Mission style, Arts and Crafts era antiques and lovely artwork.

Area Information

This property is located one mile from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. It fronts directly on the Middle Fork of the designated Wild and Scenic Flathead River at the confluence with McDonald creek. The Middle Fork is the boundary of Glacier National Park. Across the street is the 18 hole Glacier View Golf Course.
The Village of West Glacier is 5 minutes away located across the river from the entrance to Glacier Park. It offers restaurants, gift shops, mercantile, bar/lounge, raft companies (bicycle and boat rentals).

The famous 'Going to the Sun' Road starts in West Glacier and goes all the way across the Park offering countless opportunities for access to the Park interior.

For our group of friends the location of this property was perfect. Waking up and walking out the door to drop a line in the Flathead River to fish- returning for breakfast and a cup of coffee- then planning a hike for the day returning to soothe our weary bones in the hot tub after cooking dinner and sharing conversation about our days adventures. It doesn't get any better than this!!! Being close to the West entrance to the park gave us the luxury to visit daily and we did. Having a place feel like home allowed us to slip into vacation mode immediately. Shortly after arriving, we talked about when we'll return- the ultimate compliment!

Excellent experience. The house was roomy for the 6 of us. We had comfortable beds and room to relax and enjoy the view of the mountains and river. Very convenient to the West Glacier Park entrance and town of West Glacier. Loved the convenience of fishing out the back of the house on the Flathead River. Enjoyed being in the hot tub under the stars after hiking all day. Weather was 80 degrees and sunny the entire week. Very clean and well maintained. Close enough to a large grocery store which made getting groceries and preparing meals easy. Close to airport and the train station is only 5 min away. I would suggest that you eat at the Belton Chalet (5 min away) one night - excellent food.
