Seven days, June 6, 2009 -- June 13, 2009. Set in 25 acres in the peaceful Girvan Valley, Brunston Castle resort makes an ideal country retreat, as well as a perfect base from which to explore the west of Scotland. Blessed with a mild climate, it offers peace and privacy in an area renowned for its history and scenery. Only five miles from the coast and one hour's drive from Glasgow, the resort's vicinity offers plenty of attractions to delight families, golfers, and walkers alike. Girvan also has a sheltered harbor with good swimming at Girvan Beach. Nearby activities include horse riding, swimming, golf, bird watching sea and game fishing. The Isle of Arran is a 12 mile ferry ride away. There are also a number of castles to explore in the area, including the magnificent Culzean Castle. On site facilities include a indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, game room, 9-hole putting green, fitness gym, and children's adventure playground. Houses are completely outfitted for comfortable living.
