Description of the Glenfield vacation cabin rental
Bran-new rustic log cabin with all the amenities like electricity, hot water, ect. This beautiful log sided cabin sits 65 feet from the awesome Independence River, with great views of the gentle rapids and pools .If you like privacy this is it, it is located on 5.7 acres of old growth forest, and a 600' long private driveway to cabin site. If you are a horseback rider this place is a short ride on your horse to connect to the 65 miles of otter creek state forest trail system.If you like hiking directly from cabin and or cross country skiing you found the place. The cabin located within Adirondack Park boundary is truly a unique spot to just enjoy the Adirondack trails and area.
The cabin,has 2 bedrooms. One downstairs and one up stairs. Also a loft area overlooking living area can be used as third bedroom. One full bath with a 4' shower . Kitchen area features all new appliances,refrigerator, electric cook stove, microwave. Kitchen counter top is a special 4 inch slab of a full tree, also small island bar top. Enjoy a romantic evening around the new glass front wood stove in the living area,and will keep warm and toasty no matter how cold outside. If your unfamiliar with woodstoves cabin has electric heat with 3 zone thermostats. Dish network HDTV with 120 channels for those snowy or raining nights.
The fishing along the river is good and there is a state fishing easement along shore so you can venture and explore out along the river.Enjoy tubing down the River on those hot summer days.
A fire pit will be constructed soon, for great family campfire time.

Area Information
Located on the otter creek horse trail system ,includes 65 miles of horse trails located on Independence River and Otter Creek State Forest. Located within the Adirondack park.These trails on the state forest are also great hiking trails and cross country ski trails. Trails wind through wooded areas along Adirondack ponds, gently flowing waters like Otter, Little Otter, Beaver Meadow, Chase and Crooked Creeks, and the Independence River and Gleasmans Falls.The Otter Creek State Forest horse stables are 2.5 mies away, and close to many private horse back riding stables.
