Description of the Gloucester vacation apartment rental

Third (top)floor apt. in building abutting small beach at entrance to Rocky Neck Art Colony. Queen size bed in bedroom; sofa in living room that opens to full size bed. Waterfront deck with slider that opens into living room. Linens, etc. provided; cable TV, wireless Internet. Beautiful, unobstructed ocean views; on a clear day you can see to Boston. Watch boats appear on the horizon and sail by, watch sea birds in the tidal cove; enjoy sunsets over the water. Want to swim? Just walk downstairs. Bring your kayak, your sketch pad, or just relax on your waterfront deck. Couple minutes walk from summer art galleries, restaurants, live theater.
No pets or smokers please.

Gloucester is a beautiful, scenic community on the North Shore of Massachusetts. There are many water related activities: whale watch, fishing charters, boat tours, large public beaches, schooner festival, waterfront festival, etc. There are several museums featuring not only our maritime heritage, but also the many artists who have made Gloucester their home. There are art galleries to roam, outdoor bandstands, and many cultural offerings including live theater, dance, and a musical festival. There are several hiking areas, and many people enjoy bicycling our scenic shore line. Children can swing and climb in two waterfront playgrounds. There are many seafood restaurants to sample and small shops to explore.
We are an hour by train from Boston.

My husband and I stayed on the top floor apartment and thought it was lovely. The beach was very nice with easy access. There is a phenomenal breakfast place just a few hundred yards down the road. The owner was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The unit was very clean. Overall it was very quiet, except there was some road noise during peak traffic on weekdays. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time there and would certainly go back.
