Description of the Gore Mountain vacation cabin rental

Hike in 2/3 mile along cascading waterfalls to your private backcountry yurt with propane heating, lighting and cooking. Hiking outside your door to secluded ponds and waterfalls. Private yurts provide a comfortable and unique backcountry stay. Perfect for families to reconnect, friends to hang out and for couples to be alone. And we mean alone. It is very private and very quiet. And of course, very pristine. Minerva Lake closeby as well. Take the path less traveled.

Note drive up bungalow available closeby for those who do not wish to hike in but want to enjoy the area. Ask about Little Moose Bungalow too!

Summer Yurting

Spent 3 days at Falls Brook Yurts, could definitely have used another 3 at least. A great time was had by all. Everything you need is contained at the site. All you need to bring is food, clothes and sleeping bags. Quiet, secluded location. The hike up the trailhead was nice. Very dog friendly. Hiking trails abound. Everyone was tuckered out by day's end. Evenings were spent cooking supper & reading the great magazine collection at the yurt. Highly recommend taking a trip to see Great Camp Santonini. We plan on returning in the fall to take in the colours and hit some more trails.

Anniversary getaway

We loved it! It was so serene and peaceful. The sound of water in the background while going to sleep everynight was lovely. My husband and I were celebrating our third anniversary and between us we have 7 children (17, 15, 13, 11, 9, 3, and 2) and you could only imagine that we don't get away by ourselves very often. We loved every second of our time at the yurts together and we will definitely be bringing our clan back to experience this lovely place also. Thanks for sharing this lovely place of solitude and peacefullness!

Yurting in the Adirondacks!

If you never heard of a Mongolian tent, this is your chance to live the experience, the Adirondack way. The tent was welcoming and efficiently designed, comfortable and compact. Although it housed up to 8 people there were only 3 of us and the dog. Perfect. The environs were magnificent. We were very happy to have spent the weekend in the yurt.
