Spend your days relaxing on the porch with a good book from the library, playing croquet on the lawn, enjoying a fun game of volleyball or cooking out on the grill. Enjoy a board game of Monopoly, Life, Scrabble, Clue, etc. Plan a hiking or kayaking experience. Discover Downeast - take a boat ride from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor; visit Acadia National Park. Challenge your family to a game on the new Nintendo Wii game system (4 controllers & family friendly games). 9 Bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 half baths, 2 kitchens, 3 dining rooms, family room, sun room & basement game room. 2 King Beds, 4 Full, 5 Twins, 3 Sofa Beds. Basement features pool table & air hockey! Well stocked kitchen (cake/muffin pans for baking, etc). Satellite TV with premium channels & DVD Player with over 100 DVD titles.
Our home in Prospect Harbor is located 35 miles North of Mt Desert Island. We are near the Schoodic Peninsula section of Acadia National Park. Prospect Harbor is in the Downeast region of Maine, in the Town of Gouldsboro and neighbors Winter Harbor & Corea. You don't need to drive to get to Bar Harbor! Enjoy spectacular views from the ferries Katherine, Schoodic or St. Croix as you travel between Bar Harbor and Winter Harbor, Maine. You'll pass by lighthouses, mountains, fishing villages, mansions, and lobstermen hauling their traps. There is Daily passenger ferry service, departs every 2 hours from 9am to 5pm, between Bar Harbor and nearby Winter Harbor, 7 Seven Days a Week, between the 3rd week in June through the end of September ($29.50 adults, $19.50 children - round trip). The Island Explorer Bus (a free service) also goes from the Ferry in Winter Harbor to Schoodic Point (our section of Acadia Nat'l Park), Winter Harbor, Birch Harbor and Prospect Harbor.
