Description of the Gouldsboro vacation home rental
Come and enjoy the picture perfect view from the 5 picture windows in the living room. The view starts from the inner harbor of Prospect Harbor to lobster boats and then out to the bold Atlantic Ocean. Relax and let go as the ever changing views entertain you. The home has a modern open concept for the upper level living room, dining area, kitchen and large deck with a grill. The kitchen has black honed granite counters, a Viking range, dishwasher and double oven. There are hardwood cherry floors. Mid-level has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other has two twins. The two bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub shower. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Lower level walks out to the water and there is a family room. In the family room there are books and games for a rainy day. The master suite with a king size bed, whirlpool tub, shower and vanity area are next to the family room.
The property is a gentle slope to the water and for those sport minded people there is an asphalt tennis court with fence to keep the balls from rolling away!
At the end of our street is a lighthouse, only a quick walk away and you have completed the Maine experience.

Area Information
Prospect Harbor is a true working village with lobster fishing. Located on the Schoodic Peninsula it is about 45 minutes from Bar Harbor. Only five miles away is a piece of Acadia National Park with hiking trails, biking and suberb view of the bold Maine coast. If you crave lobster, it is a short drive away to Winter Harbor where you can buy it from the co-op. Or stop by a local restaurant for the freshest seafood anywhere.
Schoodic Arts for All is a community effort which brings art and music to Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor all year. There are activities and music all summer. Just off of Route 1 is the Down East Sunrise Trail a multi-use corridor, which roughly follows Route 1 down east.
The lobster festival occurs the second weekend in August in Winter Harbor and further down east on Route 1 in Machais there is a blueberry festival on the third weekend in August.
There are art galleries, antique shops, a traditional 5&10, and crafts for sale. You can go kayaking, whale watching or golfing. On the peninsula is the free Explorer bus which operates between Winter Harbor and Prospect Harbor in the summer. There is a ferry from Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor, if you don't want to drive.
There are wineries in the area, Bartlett Maine Estate Wineries, Catherine Hill Winery, Bar Harbor Cellars, and micro breweries Atlantic Brewing Company and Bar Harbor Brewing Company.
There is something for everyone! Come and visit - Maine, the way life should be!
