Very private, cozy and peaceful home on a dead-end street. One-acre property with striking westerly views toward the Berkshires borders open space with walking/biking trails.
This house looks like a cute, little cottage from the outside, but is very spacious inside. It has three good-sized bedrooms and can sleep up to seven people. Enjoy great open living spaces including a huge kitchen (all new stainless appliances) attached to a sunny, warm dining room, and a comfortably furnished living room with an incredible picture window to showcase Western Massachusetts' seasonal beauty, whether it's vibrant foliage, lush spring and summer greenery or serene snowy winter landscapes. Our wrap-around fireplace offers a great way to warm up and relax after a long day of touring or sporting activities.
Bedrooms are located at the end of the house, and are very quiet. Since there is little traffic, you can enjoy a silent night's sleep.
The front door by the patio and herb garden opens into the breezeway and kitchen, but an added ramp at the original front door offers moderate handicap access. There are also grab-bars in the bathtub.
Fully-furnished for every-day living, this house is the perfect alternative for longer stays than would be practical at a hotel or B&B. Please ask about special rates for longer rental terms.

Area Description

Greenfield is the gateway to the Pioneer Valley...very convenient to Western Mass private schools and colleges, ski and golf resorts, historic Deerfield and Shelburne Falls and other points of interest. Lots of other local outdoor activities including tennis, golf, whitewater rafting, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, etc. Excellent for foliage season, just minutes from the famous French King Bridge and Mohawk Trail. Situated alongside the Connecticut River, Greenfield is located at the crossroads of I-91 and Route 2/Mohawk Trail, providing easy driving from NY/Connecticut or Boston area, and a great jumping-off point for all Western Mass and Southern Vermont/New Hampshire day trips.

In addition to being the foliage center of the universe, Greenfield is convenient to Western Mass schools like Stoneleigh Burnham, Deerfield Academy, Eaglebrook, Charlemont Academy, and Northfield Academy, UMass, Amherst College and many others, as well as many points of interest like Historic Deerfield, Shelburne Falls, French King Bridge, and the Mohawk Trail. It is about 30 minutes to Berkshire East Ski Resort, and about an hour to Mount Snow/Haystack ski and golf, and a little further to Okemo. Zoar Outdoor whitewater rafting is just up the trail a bit, along with many other outdoor activities like cross-country skiing, hiking, etc. Greenfield was just rated #1 for people who like living in the great outdoors!
