Comfy cozy clean

January 20, 2015

We were quite impressed when we walked in. Very spacious open comfy clean cabin. Lots of great touches both functional and aesthetic. Very well-stocked kitchen. Everything you could ask for for a long weekend or even an extended stay. I TS trail access was nearby which is great. This cabin is nicely tucked into the woods for privacy yet very close to town. Although there is no fireplace or wood stove the cabin heats up quickly and stays very cozy. There is more than ample space for parking your large vehicles and snowmobile trailer and could accommodate even three or four. Many deer around and have a travel lane right through the property for those who would love to be close to nature. We would definitely stay here again and urged others to do so as well.

Perfect location for us!

October 14, 2014

The cabin is a beautiful, two-story cozy home with everything we needed to really enjoy our stay in the North woods of Maine. We have stayed at vacation rentals before and usually they are not well-equipped to cook, grill and serve meals, but this had everything we could ask for, including a gas grill on the covered porch. This kept us from trying to find a place at which to eat 3 times per day. It was quiet, cozy and warm, despite the cold nights and we even heard a moose just outside our window early one morning. The cabin is located super close to everything, with maybe a 5 minute drive into Greenville and just a minute or two to the lake. If it only had a hot tub overlooking the back porch, the owners would have never gotten us to leave! We would not hesitate to rent it again and plan to!

Owner's reply:

Glad to see you enjoyed the stay! The hot tube would be nice except when its -40 outside!

not exactly what i expected

September 8, 2014

well, according to the pictures it was a nice cabin. but upon arrival it was a beautiful cabin. nestled in the woods with lots of privacy, the cabin itself was cozy and inviting. and what i never experienced before was how well stocked it was, although we brought everything we may have needed. the website doesnt show the beautiful wrap around decking, nor the firepit to sit at at night. the cabin is a quick ride to greenville, which is quite frankly the biggest local town. short ride to lilybay state park, and lily bay rd is where we saw two moose crossing the road. loved it all. the only thing wrong, and i did warn the owner that we always get lost, is the street name is hawksholm trail not road. but no real problem with that either. the one thing i regret is not booking faster for colombus weekend, all ready booked, no wonder there. thank you to the owners for all they offer

This was our second year staying at this cabin. This will be our first choice for the years to come. Everything about this cabin is perfect - the size, location, the scenery, etc. All this for a very reasonable rate.

We were so impressed with the location and how secluded it really was. We enjoyed so much peace of no traffic and no neighbors which is something that we had been looking for for a long time. The cottage was set up so beautiful and had everything for you in it. We have had the best few nights sleep in a very long while. We liked that we werent too far from town and all the waters to kayak in. We went to Kokadjo for a day, Lilly Bay for a day, Prong Pond for a day and then we checked out our old camping area OLD MILL and paddled from there to Mt Kineo for a day. I have been going to the Moosehaed region since I was a little kid and we plan on trying to retire to that area in the future. It was very easy to book and lots cheaper then anyting else around for more bang for your buck. The Dingers replied to all my emails fast and followed thru with everything promised. We will keep this in mind again for sure. If the dog policy ever changes that would be great as well as my dog was very lonely when we got home and he would have loved the area as well. Thanks again for making our vacation away from home like being at home. Lisa Clark***please note that since our trip I have had to go to a different email address from benjaminasmom to what you see now due to a computer issue**

Owner's reply:

Thanks for the kind words about your stay with us at Baker View Cottage, I'm sorry about the dog thing as I'm a dog owner as well!

Comfy Maine cabin

January 5, 2012

This is our third time staying at this cabin so obviously we love coming here. It is actually more like a home with all the amenities but in the peaceful woods of Maine. It is very cozy. We were disappointed there was no snow, but we hiked, spent time in town visiting the quaint interesting shops. Very relaxing time !

Nice place!!!

July 3, 2011

Very nice cottage-more like a home. Great open floor plan, lots of sleeping space, TV reception not great, but there are many movies to watch and books to read. Can't want for anything here!! Off the main road, very quiet, with lots of woods. Would highly recommend this place.

Comfortable and convenient

Convenient to Greenville center, Lily Bay State Park, and Beaver Cove Marina, this spacious, modern cabin provides all the comforts of home in a quiet, secluded location. The price is very reasonable in comparison to other accommodations in the area.

A great place to spend a week away from it all. This cabin had everything we look for in a vacation spot and then some. Those luxury resorts have nothing on this place. We hope to return next year to do many of the things we just didn't have time for this year.

great place to stay!

August 15, 2009

Tony thanks ever so much! We were there for a month and a half. Finally saw the cow and her calf in the back yard. Your place was so very cozy, peaceful, and a home away from home. Anyone reading this, this is the place to stay, dont look any longer, book it. We looked at so many places to rent before we found his, there is no better place. Tony we will see you when you get up here. Thanks again for everything sue and jeff

Beautiful place

July 16, 2008

Great place to visit, amazing views, the cabin was perfect. Awoke to moose playing in the yard--just a few feet from the bedroom window. Only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Can't wait to go back and stay a bit longer.
