If powerboats and jet skis are your thing, Wilson Pond is not the lake for you! However, it is a paddler's paradise with countless coves and rocky islands to explore. This seven mile long, crystal clear lake is home to brook trout, lake trout and Salmon...as well as moose, beaver, bald eagles and countless species of waterfowl. A conservation easement around much of the lake provides a feeling of wilderness that is unmatched in such an accessible setting.
The camp is situated on a private point at the end of the road, a secluded getaway only minutes from the town of Greenville and Moosehead Lake.
The original cabin was built in the 1920's and we have preserved the rustic character of the 'old camp'. A newer addition provides modern amenities, yet retains the feel of a hunting and fishing lodge.
The main floor has a great room design with a kitchen and living room- complete with walls of windows looking out to the lake. A modern bath with a shower and claw-footed bathtub, and a bedroom containing 2 twin beds complete the downstairs. Upstairs you will find two additional bedrooms, as well as a quarter bath. Both upstairs bedrooms have large skylights which allow you to fall asleep under a canopy of stars!

We loved this place! Nice and new, lots of room, lots of amenities, just enough personal touches, and a shiny, "new rustic" look. It's very comfortable. We especially appreciated going to sleep in an upstairs bedroom with the full moon shining in through the skylight! Easy access for swimming, small fixed dock for boating -- also a great place to sit and have morning coffee, enjoying the wildlife and the views across the lake to the mountains. There are very few power boats to interfere with a good paddle across Lower Wilson and into the even-less-settled Upper Wilson Pond. The lake is pretty peaceful (there's a conservation easement around a large part of it), and the nearest cabin is just far enough away to allow a lot of privacy and quiet. This cabin's the last one on the road, too, so there are NO passing cars. We've tried a few different rentals in the Moosehead area, but we won't have to look any further. Next time we get back up there, this place will be our destination.
