Comfy cozy clean

“ Excellent ”
January 20, 2015
We were quite impressed when we walked in. Very spacious open comfy clean cabin. Lots of great touches both functional and aesthetic. Very well-stocked kitchen. Everything you could ask for for a long weekend or even an extended stay. I TS trail access was nearby which is great. This cabin is nicely tucked into the woods for privacy yet very close to town. Although there is no fireplace or wood stove the cabin heats up quickly and stays very cozy. There is more than ample space for parking your large vehicles and snowmobile trailer and could accommodate even three or four. Many deer around and have a travel lane right through the property for those who would love to be close to nature. We would definitely stay here again and urged others to do so as well.

We loved Hawkes Nest Cabin & definitely would recommend it. It is right on Moosehead Lake . We loved relaxing on the front porch, the Franklin stove on the chilly nights, & the beautiful views. It is convenient to town too.

CARE FREE VACATION

“ Excellent ”
September 2, 2013
Very low stress, no fuss owner. No long list of rules and regulations, allowed our two border collies. Nice location on the lake, there's a ton of outdoor activities right in Beaver Cove, with a most amazing sunset. Pretty private spot, though certainly not secluded. It was just our bad luck that the neighbors on either side were doing loud work on their homes while we were there. Overall: a nice, relaxing experience.

Loved the cabin.

January 12, 2015
kitchen is well equipped but not much room for renters to store their goods as all cupboards are full. Great bathroom and shower! There was also a lot of things in freezer and frige (some were way out of date)! Love the living room and furniture is very comfortable. We didn't use the bunk house as it was only me and my husband. Heat worked great as it was very cold while we were there although it took a long time to heat up. It was 42 degrees in the cabin when we arrived. Would rent again and would recommend to others. Owners were extremely pleasant and very easy to work with while planning our vacation. It would be nice if owners accepted paypal or credit cards.

The camp was cozy and near the lake. When we went to the dock area at the camp there was a fire pit and seating. The scenery was beautiful. It was close to the ATV trails which is what we went for. Also it was within a few miles of the village. We enjoyed our time here again.

Moosehead Cabin

“ Excellent ”
August 18, 2009
At the risk of bringing so many people to this bit of heaven and not having weeks available for returning "customers," I have to say that this is a beautiful place to stay. It was spotless when we got there, and so homey. It really felt like it was ours. The scenery is perfect, the location is perfect, and, although it rained a good bit of the time we were there, it didn't matter. Loons at night, Moose in the evening, ducks all the time....a veritable wildlife paradise.
