Description of the Greenwood vacation chalet rental

The Chalet is nestled in the mountains of Western Maine, just up from the base lodge of Mt. Abram Family Resort in Greenwood, Maine and only minutes to Sunday River Ski Area in nearby Bethel, Maine. The Chalet offers two bedrooms, one is an open air loft with a queen bed and a queen size futon, the second bedroom comfortably sleeps 2 on the main level.

SPRING/SUMMER/FALL offers the best of the great Maine outdoors. We are minutes from 3 lakes, kayaking on the Androscoggin River or several other local streams, hiking, whitewater rafting, mountain biking at Sunday River Ski Area, or just relaxing on the water. The Bethel Region offers great walking and running trails and plenty of shopping and dining options. RELAX and ENJOY "The way life should be - MAINE!"

Day trips can include outlet shopping in Freeport, Maine or tax-free Conway, New Hampshire (1 hour drive). Exploring the White Mountains of New Hampshire (1 hour drive), Santa's Village / 6 Gun City parks in Conway, NH (1 hour drive), or taking the cog railroad to the top of Mt. Washington (New England's largest peak!)

Just pack your clothes and skis (or clubs) and make yourself at home!! Relax in the rich Italian leather furniture while you sit with your feet up (hot cocoa in hand) as you watch the snow fall. You can pop in your favorite DVD or VHS, have a family game night or surf the net on our high speed wireless connection. Our open concept kitchen/dining room layout invites group conversation with ample room for entertaining friends and family. Our full equipped kitchen includes a ceramic flat-top stove, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker and blender. There is even a washer and dryer in the full basement for your convenience and room to store your skis.

The Chalet provides everything you need!! Just bring your skis, snowboards, snowshoes, golf clubs, swimsuits, mountain bikes, hiking boots, kayaks, well, you get the picture!

Whether you are visiting winter, spring, summer, or fall there are endless activities, year round, in the Bethel/Western Maine region for every age and ability.

There is so much to do...or you may do nothing at all...but relax and unwind and PAMPER YOURSELF!

• Required Stay: Saturday to Friday, or as arranged.
   
• Deposits: We require a deposit (1/2 of the reservation price) up front to guarantee and confirm your booking. The deposit is non-refundable if we are unable to rent the chalet do a change or cancellation of a rental.
   
• Other Fees: We'd be happy to accommodate guests for a nightly rate with a 3 night min. Please inquire! PEAK weeks (Christmas, New Year's, Feb. break and holidays) are $1200 a week. Partial weeks may be available upon request.

We loved our stay in the chalet we rented & the owners were so wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone & will definately be renting again in the future. The chalet was super clean & had everything we needed & made our stay even nicer by having everything right at our fingetips. It was decorated so nice & made you feel right at home being there but most of all the owner so were so great to deal with & I could not have picked a better chalet or owners.

What an excellent time we had (2 adults & 3 kids 12, 14 & 16)...The accommodations were perfect, very warm and friendly like a home away from home. Very clean and orderly with everything we needed for a very comfortable vacation. Base of Mt Abram being a few hundred yards down the road was awesome. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay or more convenient to everything. Food store is right in Bethel and having the kitchen was great but there is also plenty of places to eat or order from. I’m from the Philly area and had one of the best cheese steaks ever from Breu’s Too (deli market about 10 minutes away). I would recommend this to anyone and certainly plan on returning.

We spent a long weekend in November and had the time of our lives! Everything is SO convenient. We LOVED Mt. Abram, a hidden treasure in Maine. We took full advantage of their two-for-one and fill a car deals on Thursday and Friday. The Chalet was better than we ever could have expected. Everything was right at our fingertips. We will be back again before the end of the ski season and hopefully again for leaf peeping. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our post holiday break. The accomodations are extremely comfortable with all of the amenities of a ski chalet which made it quite relaxing. The location was ideal for our ski getaway and so close to family friendly Mt. Abram skiing as well as Bethel and the Sunday River resort. We had a fantastic winter break and we will be back to enjoy it all over again.

Home away from home. This was just perfect for our girl friends getaway. Only a little over an hours drive outside of Portland, this was the exactly what we were looking for. The house itself is so cozy you can't help but relax. Love the ski decor. It was so nice to have those little extras already there like coffee and hot chocolate, they came in handy coming off the slopes and made us feel so welcome. There were only four of us but we could have easily fit a few more comfortably. Even though Mt Abram is smaller than some mountains in Maine, it has it's advantages, no crowds, no lift lines and yet is still has a ton of snow. We had a blast! I will definitely plan a return trip.

This chalet had plenty of room to sleep our family of four very comfortably, and easily could have have accomodated extra people if we had them. The place is very clean, and comes equipped with everything you'll need....pots and pans, towels, sheets, soap, shampoo, etc. It also has washer and dryer. It is very close (about a 2 min drive)to Mt. Abram, which is a great mouintain to learn to ski on and is also less crowded than Sunday River, which is about 20 minutes away. There are many dining options just a short drive away in Bethel. Our family really enjoyed our stay in this chalet and plan to return next winter.

We stayed over the long holiday weekend. Accomidations were very clean, nicely decorated and within a 15 min drive to the location we were visiting. It was also in close proximity to the ski mountain. It is a great place for smaller families with the two bed rooms and fold out futton. I would highly reccomend it for anyone visiting or planing on skiing Mt Abram or Sunday River. The rate was very reasonalble as well.
