Description of the Gulf Shores vacation home rental

Relax in this beautiful new home with views of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay from the front deck and the back deck. It is only 720 feet to the sugary white beaches of Gulf Shores with a view of the lighthouse and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy the sight of the cruise ships leaving weekly as they pass through Mobile Bay into the Gulf.

This home is located two miles from the westernmost tip of Fort Morgan. Fort Morgan is a historical site where fought during the Civil War. The ferry departs from Fort Morgan and arrives in Fort Gaines (Dauphin Island), daily.

The marina is located 1/2 mile from the home. A state owned public launch is located at the Fort, along with a wonderful fishing and crabbing pier.

Two restaurants are located within five miles of the home, yet the area is residential. The landscape is not busy with condominiums. Only one set can be seen in the far distance from the back deck.

The beach offers it own set of activities. This area is not over populated and you will never have problems getting your own little section of the beach. Surf fishing is very popular, along with shelling. A walk along the beach almost always proves popular as shells are easy to pick up. Keep your eyes open for dolphins, as they are a common site playing up and down the beach.

There are charter boats at the marina, along with a dolphin cruise. Bicycling, walking and jogging are also popular activities.

This home is located 20 miles down the peninsula. At the beginning of the peninsula is the heart of Gulf Shores with grocery stores and department stores including Target and Wal-mart. The Tanger Outlet Center is 30 minutes from the home. The hang-outs for the younger crowds are approximately 25 minutes away.

We were the first to rent "Reel-em-Inn" and we enjoyed it very much.. Kim and Larry are gracious hosts and the home came with everything one needs for a relaxing winter.. Great stay and we will return..
