Beautiful newly remodeled two bedroom, one bath home. Immaculately clean with fully stocked kitchen. NEW leather sectional sofa with queen sleeper bed with matching animal print chair. Each bedroom is decorated with designer bedding and pillowtop Serta mattresses. Deck has an outstanding view of the Gulf of Mexico with snow white beaches, crystal blue water, and Mobile Bay just across the street. Large back yard with covered area under the house including a picnic table, charcoal grill, porch swing, wicker chairs, and hammock.

Enjoy FREE unlimited long distance service and high speed wireless internet service, and Direct TV. This would be a perfect rental for a single family or two couples to relax in paradise. The ocean is approximately 300 ft. from the house. Beach toys and chairs are available. Very quiet neighborhood to enjoy the private beaches, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, surfing, shopping, shell collecting, dolphin watching, and walking on the beach. Board games and DVD library are available for those rainy afternoons.

Area Information

Historical Fort Morgan is two miles away with Ferry access to go to Mobile or Biloxi and enjoy the casinos. You can have the best of both worlds by having the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Mobile Bay on the other side. Perfect home for a snowbird to enjoy the warm climate and escape the snow. Fishing and crabbing are permitted at the public pier at the Fort. Premier golf courses are located just down the road at Kiva Dunes and the Peninsula. Surfing lessons, parasailing,scuba lessons are available. A family photograph on the beach is available.Reconnect to nature as you hike the Bon Secure National Wildlife Refuge Trails to miles of unspoiled beaches. Great Stay at Volunteer Landing

We stayed at this home over the Thanksgiving weekend and the weather was almost perfect (rain came in the last day). The home has everything you need. It is just a short, nice walk to the beach. We enjoyed the quietness of the area where it is located in Ft. Morgan beach which is pet friendly. It's also just a short drive to Bon Secour National Wildlife refuge. We took the ferry at the end of the peninsula over to Dauphin Island. We really felt like we were getting away on this trip. Doris was very responsive to our emails and arranged everything nicely for us.

Our family had the most wonderful vacation...due in large part to our neighbors, Les and Doris. They were wonderful! We ate fresh crabs after our Crabbing 101 lesson :). The house is very cozy. We especially loved the view. We even saw dolphins from the deck, beautiful! The beach was so quiet and close. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. The family pictures were perfect in the marvelous scenery. My husband and I especially loved the long walks down the beach and watching our family play in the ocean. It is a definite that we would rent this cottage again when we revisit Fort Morgan, Alabama. Thank you for the fabulous experience! The Delcour family from Missouri!

What a great time! My family of 3 stayed at the Landing last August and thoroughly enjoyed the entire week. The accomodations were great; clean, neat and everything you could ask for in a vacation retreat. The white-sand beach is only a 3-4 minute walk away. All the beach gear you need are there waiting on you. You don't need to pack anything but the lotion. It was like having the beach to yourself. No crowd at any time during the week. The location of the house is within a very short reach of everything you want to do while in that area and then you get to go back to the house away from the crowd. The fort itself and the ferry to Dauphin Island are only minutes away. You can drive over to Pensacola and Destin and still have time to get back to sit out at the beach. This was our first time to go to Ft. Morgan and we will definitely return and stay at Volunteer Landing. You just can't beat a more relaxing vacation and the great accomodations. We're so thankful we found this gem. Try it, you will be in for a treat.

Our first trip to the Beach

This was my families first trip to the beach, we had so much fun. The house was very nice and had so much to offer. We loved having all the beach toys and beach chairs already there, we had so much fun walking on the beach collecting shells and catching crabs. My oldest son caught a really big crab. My baby boy loved the baby pool he had so much fun in the pool, he didn't like the beach much but we hope he will like it better next year, he will be 2 then. We can't wait to go back next year!

A wonderful retreat!

My husband and I stayed at Volunteer Landing in May 2008 and feel in love with it immediately! The house is everything you can imagine a beach house should be. The beach is a very easy walk and the view from the deck is wonderful. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed (including beach chairs!) Plus, it was great to be able to bring our dog. It was our first time to stay in Fort Morgan and I know we will be coming back many, many more times! The owners were wonderful to work with and even allowed us to extend our stay! I highly recommend it!
