Area Information

This beautful home is conveniently located on the secluded North Shore of Maui, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. A short scenic coastal drive of approx 25 mins from the airport. The area is surrounded by tropical waterfalls, bamboo forest, true Hawaii. Close to the authentic Upcountry villages on the slopes of Haleakela volcano, 15 minutes to miles of beaches, colourful shopping & dining in Paia Town and just a short drive to the more intensive tourist centers on the South and West sides.
Enjoy the seclusion of this beautiful and private property while within comfortable striking distance to all the more conventional tourist activites when that is desired.
Haiku offers several excellent restaurants to choose from, grocery and drug store and the Haleakela Bike Compnay if you wish to cycle down the volcano!
Paia Town is only a further 5 miles and offers wonderful shopiing and dining and several beautiful beaches.

Relaxing Retreat in the middle of paradise

My husband, adult son and I stayed at Jan's house for 1 week. It had all the amenities that you could want plus extras like laundry detergent, food wrap, seasonings which meant that we did not have to buy them. It is very private . . . a bit of a drive from other parts of the Island, but it was so peaceful and relaxing once you arrived, you forgot about the drive. The house was very comfortable, the beds very comfortable. The house was very clean, the yard well tended. Fresh flowers were in numerous places around the house upon our arrival. The wind would blow thru the bamboo and it would rain usually during the night. A little cooler than other parts of the Island, but we preferred it that way.

Beautiful, private location

We could not have stayed in a more perfect spot. The house was beautiful with a wonderful view. Lots of lush green trees that create the perfect romantic getaway. Pool and hot tub came in handy as it is a bit of drive to the beach. We can't wait to go back! Wireless internet and satellite tv made my husband happy. If you are looking for a romantic private get away this is the place for you.
