The babble of the brook will lull you to sleep and the graceful garden plantings will enchant you. A well-mannered cat or dog is welcome.

Take a stroll or a paddle around the lake, shoot 16 holes of golf, go on a scenic train ride, take in a vintage baseball game, or just stretch out on the chaise longue with a cup of cappuccino and a good book and gaze out at the stream. Maybe you'll even catch a glimpse of the hummingbird!

3 bedrooms (sleeps 4), 1 bath, cable, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, cappuccino/espresso maker, wood charcoal grill. Full set of comfortable wooden garden furniture. A well-mannered cat or dog is welcome.

The house is a 1-minute walk to the lake with canoe and kayak rentals available, 1-minute drive to the Farmers' Market (May/October), 5 minutes to an 18-hole championship golf course, 10 minutes to mountain-biking, horseback riding, and swimming.

Situated on a low traffic road, no houses on 3 sides, the stream is right outside the back door, visible and audible from the living room and the master bedroom.

15 minutes to Ski Plattekill and Belleayre Mountain, 45 minutes to Hunter and Windham. 1-minute walk to Lake Wewaka for cross-country skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling.
