Carmelita By the Lake, is a boutique style, executive 6 bedroom, 4 full bath cottage rental. Across from the property is Maple Lake, part of a three (3) chain lake in the heart of Haliburton Highland, Ontario. Maple Lake is perhaps the prettiest lake in the region and the safest swimming lake for kids in the Haliburton Highlands. Our dock area can accommodate your boat and your float plane.
Carmelita By the Lake is 2.5 hours north of Toronto, 4 hours from Ottawa, 45 minutes to Huntsville, Bracebridge and Muskoka. Dorset and Minden is even closer. We guarantee this is the finest cottage rental to be found in the area. Our cottage rental cost each individual based on 12, a rate of $41.00 per day. We are located close to many attractions such as Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve, Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre, Walking on a Cloud Canopy Tour, Sir Sam's ski hill, Dorset Lookout and world reknown Algonquin Park. Haliburton is known for our large artist community with many artist studios, hiking and snowmobile trails and a winery, Moon Shadows Estate Winery. We also have an airport, Stanhope airport nearby for our pilot guests(Haliburton/Stanhope Municipal Airport is located near the more populated south-central area of Haliburton-5K from Carmelita By the Lake).
Our 6 rooms consist of three (3) queen beds, 2 double and one room with two twin beds. Two rooms have TV, DVD, and fireplace. Each rooms comes with CD clock radio. During the Fall and Winter we have a B&B operation and within each room you will find robes and slippers for each guest. There is a total of three (3) HD satellite TV on the premises.
We have put together a relaxing, comfortable property for the individuals who are looking for quality and who understand that only a certain amount of people can comfortable fit into a space and still keep the high standards required by our guests.
We provide high speed internet for the individual(s) that needs to be in touch with work or family, or just needs to be connected.
The Guest Lounge is equipped with a large screen HD satellite TV, DVD, CD player, Blu-Ray player, VCR and a surround sound for everyone's enjoyment and fireplace to cozy up on those chilly nights. Utilize the paddle boat touring Maple Lake or use one of our many bicycles to get to know the neighbourhood. We provide a hot tub year round. There is a jacuzzi tub in The Bogart Loft.
A well appointed kitchen that includes all the amenities to be found in a fully equipped high end kitchen, including an espresso machine and all the regular items to be found in an executive kitchen. The executive chef in you will be extremely impressed! A cooler sits on the back deck (during the summer) with the BBQ and we have picnic baskets should you decide to pack a picnic and explore.
We do not provide linens, pillows or towels.
