Description of the Hamburg Township vacation home rental

Our beautiful lakefront home has everything you need for a great vacation. Our fully equipped kitchen and large living room is perfect for entertaining. The spacious deck has an amazing panormic view of the lake and river. The main bedroom has a private bath with large soaking tub with jets. Beds are plush and comfortable. The children will love the large sand box and swim area. We also have outside games and sandbox toys for your use.
If you enjoy boating,fishing,swimming and relaxing this is the place for you! Cruising on Strawberry Lake or down the river to the six other lakes is an experience you do not want to miss.
Great vacation for couples, families or a girls/guys get-a-way. Close to all metro areas, yet you feel like you are up north!
Summer rentals include the use of the pontoon boat and canoe! We now have a jet ski available to rent by the week call for additonal information! Our new kayaks (2) are also available to rent by the week, but must be reserved in advance. We have bikes available, but you are welcome to bring your own too.
Our vacation home is perfect for family celebrations if you have any special requirments, let us know. I love to decorate for special occasions!

Area Information

The surrounding area offers everything from art shows to unique shopping. For the people who like to walk, ride bikes or jog, there is the wonderful Lakeland Hiking trail. There are too many golfing courses to list, at least 3 within a 1 mile radius. Shopping in Ann Arbor or Brighton is about a 20 minute drive, both have wonderful Farmers Markets on Saturday morning.
The Huron River which connects the lakes, is beautiful with ducks, cranes, turtles, beavers, and sometimes deer. All of the lakes have a different feel, some are best suited for sailing, some for skiing, others for swimming. Strawberry Lake is great for all lake activities, but it is fun to explore the other lakes.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

For hikers and people who like to ride bikes, the Lakeland Trail, is less than 1/2 mile away. We do have a few bikes you may use. Fourth of July has amazing fireworks through out the week. Ann Arbor Art Fair is just one of many Fairs over the summer months. Great place to celebrate Mother/Father Day and College Graduations! Call us for additional information, or if you have a special request. We do have a porta-crib for infants.

Blown AWAY

April 24, 2013

We had a wonderful time at the lake house on Strawberry Lake. We were celebrating my sister's 25th birthday and she was BLOWN AWAY by the lake house. The Marshalls have thought of EVERYTHING. We had a family BBQ and took advantage of the spacious layout, board games, music, xbox video games and the fully equipped kitchen and grill. We all agreed that we must visit again in the summer to take advantage of the jet skis, canoes, and kayaks. Everyone from children to adults were totally entertained. I look forward to visiting the property again. Many of my family members have already asked me how to rent this space because they did not want to leave.

My brothers,sister-in-laws and my family had a wonderful time. A week is plenty of time to stay at this beautiful house on strawberry lake. we enjoyed every min. we spent there. we will be back in the furture.. Oh not far from our homes either which made it nice...

New Year's Get-Away per Excellence!

We were privileged to stay at the lake house for four nights and did NOT want to leave when our time was up! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked for cooking, the fire-place inviting and the glass panoramic view of the lake was stunning! We relaxed, laughed, played cards and even walked to the Zuckey Lake Tavern for a great meal! We can't wait to visit this summer for a change of seasons! Great Family Friendly Vacation Home

August 23, 2011

We stayed for 3 weeks and loved every minute. We found the house modern, clean and well maintained. There is plenty of space; we were two families w/4 kids (ages 3~7). The house and yard area is very kid friendly (parents have a good view of the action, kids have plenty of room to run). We used the large deck, huge yard and the sand box / dock at the lake. We also rented the available pontoon boat; the guys went fishing and we did many boat trips together cruising the chain of lakes. There is plenty of "civilization" close by (good grocery stores, hardware, pizza, etc). We had a small problem with the outdoor grill, but it was promptly attended to by the owners. In all no problems or concerns. We loved our time there and are looking forward to going back soon.

The summer of 2012 promises to be the best ever on Strawberry Lake. We now prepared for babies, adding a porta crib and other baby items. We are becoming grandparents soon and have decided to make travel less hectic for all the new parents visiting this summer! For the older children, we have added a Play Station 3 and an X Box. You need to bring your own games, as Robert and I are not up to date on those types of games!
