Home Away From Home With Beach Access (#29830)

Write a review This was the best vacation home we have ever stayed in. All the rooms were spacious and allowed for the nine of us to have plenty of personal space. Buckroe Beach was just what we were looking for. Very clean and not crowded. It is just a short walk from the house, but also had plenty of parking. We were also very close to Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. It was affordably priced and Ben was great to work with. He made sure we knew that we could call him for anything. This was the perfect place for us. This house was a perfect "fit" for us: 6 adults, 1 teenager and 2 little ones. There was plenty of space for us to be together, as well as spread out. Three full bathrooms made mornings so much more manageble. The house was even better than promised, we were more than pleasantly surprised. Easy access to the beautiful beach and great fishing; even the weather was perfect. We would definitely plan a return visit and this house would be first on our list. J Woitas We had the best time at this property. There were 9 of us and there was still room to spare. The home is beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need for you stay. 3 bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a fully equipped kitchen made our vacation a great experience. I would highly recommend this property - it's a great value for your vacation dollar. The beach is .4 miles from the house and an easy walk. Hampton was centrally located to everything we wanted to do while we were in the area, such as VA beach, Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, etc. Thank you Ben, for allowing us to rent your beautiful home! I will get right to the point ....this place was great. Clean and fresh... but more important than that comfortable and Ben is great to work with.... Really a block /walking distance to the beach.... quiet neighborhood..... he pays attention to detail for travelers Thanks Ben !!!!!!!!!!!! Some friends and I rented the property for a weekend. Gorgeous. Clean. Plenty of towels, etc. Well stocked kitchen. But no phone and no wifi. My coach and the other wrestlers that stayed here said, and I quote "IT WAS GREAT!" They all had a good time, and I'd like to thank Ben for letting us enjoy a great trip. We will definitely be looking into something like this again next year. We enjoyed our stay. There was just one item broke in the house (one of the beds in the bedroom were broke and previously renters tried fixing it.) We did still have enough room for everyone. Very comfortable and roomy. The house was great. Very clean!! We enjoyed the beach--walking distance to the beach was great just a short walk. My whole family loved the beach they picked up plenty of sea shells. Thank you for the wonderful vacation we had. If you like sea food make sure you eat at Captain George's Sea Food buffet. Alot of things to see within a few miles. We had a wonderful time. We changed our time from July to August. My family and I had a great time. The location and the house was great. The area was quiet and we enjoyed the beach almost every day.We did not want to leave to come back home.I would recommend it to my friends.It was like home away from home. I have young children and every year we have included Buckroe Beach in our vacation plans. This year we decided to extend ourselves and to stay at the beach for a week. This house was so great we'll stay there again next year and probably for many years to come. It was as described, we had no problems with any of the appliances or air or anything. The owner was great, even called to make sure we had everything we needed and to make suggestions about things to see in the area. The house is nicely appointed so we felt safe, comfortable and right at home. They even had great books on the nightstand! It is true the 4th bedroom is really a TV room but that was not a problem. I'd say the only drawback is the yard is not fenced. I would have liked for my young children to be able to play outside in the yard but I hesitated because the street was busy. Although you can walk to the beach, we drove to avoid the traffic. Plus we had beach chairs and kids hands to hold. The house was very nice to stay at. It is big and has 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms. It was close to the beach. I would stay there again. The only thing that we found was the air conditioner did not work as well upstairs as down stairs. We went and bought 2 fans and pushed the cold air upstairs and the other blew the cold air around upstairs. It was within walking distance to the beach. Maybe 3 minutes. The house is was large enough to accommodate all our needs and elegantly decorated. The owner Mr. Lewis was always available to answer all of our questions and provided superior customer service. The 4th bedroom is not really a bedroom but a TV Room with a futon otherwise eerything was as described. We would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the area. It was very reasonably priced and we were very satisfied with our experience. We needed a house to stay in when our daughter's boyfriend was graduating from Blackhawk helicopter training at nearby Ft Eustis.We had never rented a property directly from an owner,so we were a little nervous at first.But,the owner of this house Ben, was absolutely phenomenal to work with and gave us all the info that we needed to make sure we brought everything we needed on our end and to make our stay as comfortable and wonderful as possible.The house is beautifully decorated;rich linens on beds and in bathrooms;fully(and I mean fully)equipped kitchen;has an alarm system which was peace of mind being in a new area;upstairs porch has swing for those late night talks under a warm blanket;plenty of extra blankets and pillows,etc,etc.We were very close to grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants, malls-you name it!House is technically a 3 bedroom house,since one of the bedrooms was turned into a den which has a futon you can use for more sleeping accomodations.Would stay again! The house ws very roomy with plenty of beds and bathrooms. Even with 9 people, everyone was always comfortable. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room for family and entertainment. The beach is close by. Internet access and satellite tv are a plus. Quality furniture, appliances and accessories throughout.
