Splendid Maine camp

This is a splendid and typical Maine camp of the sort where good times are had and family memories are made. The kids played badminton on the side lawn. We canoed. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We had great weather and one thunderstorm that was a perfect night for ghost stories. The camp has bedrooms and living space on three levels that allows for some separation and privacy. Lovely post and beam. Comfortable deck furniture. Amazing sunsets and moonrises. You can hear the cry of the loon mornings and evenings. Lots of games and books. We had trouble with the dvd but then didn't bother trying as so much else to do. Long lake is a busy lake with motorboats/waterskiers, which creates a bit of a wake. Canoe is best left for quiet hours (mornings). The lake is clear and refreshing. Water pressure in showers is low but acceptable.

Long Lake Vacation

We had a great time at this spot. We brought our 18' boat and played on the lake most of the week. Local dining was great and plenty to do for kids on those rainy days. We would come back again. House was clean and the kitchen was fairly well equipped. Only thing keeping us from a 5 star rating is the comfort of the twin beds. Every thing else was exactly as advertised and a great deal for this location on Long Lake.
