Description of the Harwichport vacation home rental
10 minute half mile walk to two resident only Sandy Salt Water Beaches, Two Harbors, Sport Fishing, Birding, Nantucket Ferry, Golf Course, Conservation Land Trails, Restaurants, Shopping, Galleries - -all within a half mile, or under, walking or biking distance.
And close by watch the Harwich Mariners (part of the Cape Baseball League) play, attend a Band Concert in the Park, or enter the Cape Cod Rail Bike Trail.

Children's Security Gate at the top of the Living Room Stairs. Portable Security Gates are stored in the First Floor Queen Bedroom for the bottom of the Living Room Stairs. Portable Security gate also stored in the Garage for set up in front of the Kitchen Door between the Garage and the House to contain young children in the back yard.
The Summer checkin time is ordinarily 3:00 on the day of your arrival, Saturday, and the checkout time is ordinarily 10:00 AM on the day of your departure, Saturday. Please let us know if you would like to be arrive earlier or depart later so we can work around your schedule for cleaning.
Fall, Winter, Spring Off Season checkin/ is more flexible, just let us know your schedule.
Our Harwich Port, Cape Cod, MA vacation home, located in a friendly, quiet, established family neighborhood, complies with Harwich Regulations limiting driveway parking to a maximum of four cars with no overflow parking on the street, and occupancy of the home limited to the maximum of 9 sleeping accommodations, not to include young children using the renter's own port-a-cribs.

Driving is at a leisurely pace since HarwichPort has NO traffic lights, NO delays, NO back ups, and NO road wider than two lanes.
DIRECTIONS TO HOUSE: Mid Cape Highway, Route 6, Exit 10, south on Route 124, toward Harwich, then left onto Route 39 (Main St), Right onto Bank St (at the Harwich Town Offices, Brooks Library, Speedway Gas Station) toward the Village of Harwich Port for just under a mile, bearing left (east) to our home near the junction of Bank St, Miles St, Freeman St, Hoyt Rd (just before you get to Snow Inn Rd,, Route 28-Main St).
Our house is in an Ideal location close to HarwichPort Village, in an established quiet neighborhood, with a constant Summer Ocean Breeze flowing through the house, toward the working Cape Cod Cranberry Bog (Farm) and Conservation Land across the street.
60 Acres of Harwich open & accessible Conservation Land at the end of Belle Brook Lane, a 500 foot walk east (right) from the end of the driveway -- Great for walking, exploring the Blue Bird Trail, Birding, kite flying, etc..
House is a 10 minute walk (four tenths of a mile) from HARWICHPORT GOLF COURSE, WYCHMERE HARBOR, SAQUATUCKET HARBOR, NANTUCKET FERRY, SPORT FISHING BOATS, sailing, SEAL CRUISE BOAT, Brax Restaurant, Casa di Babbo Grill, Sunday School Ice Cream Parlor, Village antique, gift, specialty, and artisan shops/Galleries, Harwich Port Library, Church Thrift Shop.
House is a 10 minute (half mile) walk, or Bike, or drop off to MERKLE BEACH on Snow Inn Road (bike racks only-no parking), BANK STREET BEACH (parking with Town Beach Sticker), HarwichPort Pizza, George's Pizza, School House Ice Cream, Cranberry Liquors, Harwich Spirits Shop, Dino's Grill, Mason Jar Deli/Sandwiches, Bonatt's Bakery/Restaurant, Port Restaurant, The Hot Stove, Sea Grille, New & Used Book Stores, Cumberland Farms Convenience Store, Churches, Banks, Gas Stations.
The HARWICH PORT INFORMATION BOOTH is located about a half mile from the house in the Municipal Parking Area - along with public rest rooms- on Main St, Route 28, Harwich Port. Staff can answer your questions and offer additional information about events, activities, special places of interest, Beach Maps, Bike Trail Maps, Schedule of events, Town Maps etc.

Or the CAPE COD RAIL TRAIL BIKE PATH (Harwich Town Offices Entrance). This bike trail meanders off road from Route 134 in the Town of Dennis, through Harwich, to Chatham, and through Brewster, Nickerson State Park, Orleans, and up through the NATIONAL SEASHORE in Eastham & Wellfleet.
HPTA tennis courts are three back yards away walk off Freeman St. The Stone Horse Tennis courts are also available less than a mile away on Route 28 in South Harwich. The Brooks Park Tennis Courts are located a little over a mile away on Route 39 Main St diagonally across from the Brooks Harwich Town Library.

Huge wooden "Castle in the Sky" young children playground behind Harwich Middle School on Sisson Road (Rt 39), one and a half mile from the house up Bank St bear left on Main St (Rt 39 at the Brooks Library), then left on Sisson Rd (Rt 39).
2 miles west from the house on Route 28 (Main St) to Trampolines, go-carts, Water bumper Cars, then miniature golf, pitch & put golf. Bank of America ATM across from Sea Food Sam's Seafood Restaurant next to the trampolines.
One & one half mile west from the house on Route 28 (Main St) to Star Market/Shaw's Supermarket at beginning of Sisson Road (Route 39).
1 mile west on Route 28 (Main St) to Post Office, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, and True Value Hardware, then 500 feet further west to Dairy Queen, and then George's Fish Market offering "off the boat" fresh sea food and take out.
Strolling Music on alternate Summer Wednesday nights--6 to 9 in Harwich Port on Main Street.
