Area Information

Harwichport is a great seaside town on cape cod, just before the "elbow" of the cape. The town has a lovely area of shops and restaurants, without being too built up. A short drive to the National Seashore, downtown Chatham, Hyannis and a quick ferry ride to Nantucket.

Best place on the Cape

We spent a beautiful, relaxing week in this great house. The house is very spacious inside and out. The sun porch and back patio was used all the time. The large, spacious, fenced in yard was great for all the sports we played, just watch out, the trees like to "eat" the baseballs. The house was well equipped with just about everything you could need for your stay. The short walk to the beach was great because you didn't have to worry about driving and finding a parking space. We took a whale watch with Hyannis Whale Watching Company and I have never seen so many whales in one place. We also saw them feeding which was a first for all of us. A day trip to Nantucket was very easy because the ferry is right in Harwichport. We also took a day and drove up to Provincetown and visited Race Point and the Pilgrim Monument. We were a group of 7 and the house was very comfortable for that amount. If we ever go back to the Cape we will rent this house again. The owner was very easy to work with as well. If you are going to the Cape you should seriously check out this house.

Perfect spot for a week of fun and relaxation!

This place was just what we needed! The beautiful house spaciously accommodated our group of seven, and we found many activities very close-by. My parents (who are having trouble getting around as they get older), found the first-floor master bedroom a delight. We played golf at the course nearby, enjoyed dinners in town (which we walked to), and had spent time on the beach (three city blocks away). We also enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and relaxing around the spacious dining room. The weather could have been warmer, but we were comfortable with obviously modernized amenities - an impressive combination of comfort and charm! I have vacationed on the Cape a few times and this place is by far the easiest to get to. Harwich Port is minutes off Route 6, but feels just as removed as places farther out. We can't wait to go back again!

a beautiful old jem

This old house is a beautiful spot and holds a crowd comfortably. The owners were very accommodating and laid back. It has several bedrooms upstairs, all of them built into cute rooms with funky angles that have a lot of character. It has an AMAZING spacious sun porch that is a perfect hang out and a patio/ picnic table/ grill covered by an awning, so no matter what the weather is you are guaranteed a great location to be outside. It has a giant backyard complete with horseshoes and is literally yards from the beach. I can't recommend this place enough. You will love it!
