Description of the Harwichport vacation home rental

Our cozy home sleeps six comfortably and is great for families with children. We are located within 1 mile of many Harwich beaches, both salt water and fresh water. We are also within a 1 mile of Go-Carts, trampolines, bumper boats, quaint shops and great restaurants. In addition, Harwich is the home of the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The baseball games provide great family entertainment for sports-lovers. Day trips to the Cape Cod National Seashore and Provincetown, as well as Boston, are also very fun and convenient!

House amenities include central A/C in the Main house, as well as a working fireplace for off-season rentals. Kitchen is fully-applianced, including a dishwasher. The home also has a clothes washing machine and dryer, outdoor hot/cold shower with changing area, deck with gas grill, large fenced yard with grassy lawn for playing and a beautiful perrenial garden! For those with young children, we have a pack-n-play, a bedrail and a booster seat available for your use. Our detached family room also has A/C and a pool table, plus games, toys and books.

You will find the house equiped with everything you need for a fun and relaxing family vacation in a beautiful, convenient area of Cape Cod!

GREAT LOCATION NICE HOUSE

September 13, 2012

We rented this house for Labor Day weekend it is in a wonderful location easy to drive to the beaches, shopping and dining. The house is roomy and spacious and very clean with comfortable furniture. The kitchen has everything that you would need to cook meals and there was a dishwasher so clean up was easy. The backyard was peaceful and a great place to relax after a busy day there is a firepit for the cool evenings. The owners were nice to deal with. Best of all they are dog friendly!

The house was clean and comfortable. Having beach towels and chairs provided helped lighten the packing for sure. The location was close to so many things - downtown shops, beaches, highway, recreational activies. The AC was a big bonus since we were there during a very humid spell. We'd definitely return!

charming family getaway

Our family of 5 enjoyed our 1-week stay at Sue's summer house. The house was professionally cleaned and tastefully decorated. The layout is like a typical one-level ranch with beautiful hardwood floors, but with the added bonus of the converted garage. This separate space was air conditioned, and had a comfy couch, tv, and dining table. It's also where my children found lots of kid-friendly videos to watch and toys to play with, and where my husband could play pool quietly by himself. In the main house, there was plenty of storage for clothing in the bedrooms, but wish there was more seating in the dining/living area. The dining table only sat 4-5 people, and we fought over the couch at night when wanting to stretch out and watch a movie together with our 2, 4, and 8 y/o (who alternated sitting on the floor). However, we grilled and ate many of our meals outside on the deck, connecting the main house to the detached garage. The house is located on a corner lot with fencing for privacy from the neighbors, and was a short 5-minute drive to downtown Harwichport, beaches, golfing, go-karts, Star Market, Dunkin' Donuts, DQ, etc. Sue provided an array of literature for area attractions and let us know about the weekly beach passes available for purchase through the community center. Sue also provided the blankets, pillows, beach towels, and beach chairs (we opted to save $$, and bring our own linens and bath towels). Overall, Sue was wonderful to work with and we had no problems receiving our security deposit back. We communicated mostly by email, and she was very responsive and accommodating. We would highly recommend her place for a family vacation.
