Riverwood Lodge is a large, well appointed, private vacation home, in a peaceful riverfront setting just 1-1/2 miles from Healdsburg's city limits. The home is an ideal wine country retreat...spacious, welcoming, beautifully furnished, and so close to all the attractions that Sonoma Wine Country has to offer.

Located right on the river, with great views and amenities, Riverwood provides the perfect setting to encourage guests to relax, unwind, and re-charge. Guests enjoy use of the hot tub, cedar sauna, kayaks, log swing, covered riverview decks, Wifi, large great room and dining table, indoor recreation room with ping pong, and much more. We take care to provide high quality amenities, bedding, and kitchen equipment for our guests' enjoyment.

Riverwood is a favorite with every age group. This spacious home offers many places to gather, and activities for every age group. There's a circle of leather sofas around the river rock fireplace for enjoyable evenings with friends, and a charming kitchen with rustic table and chairs for intimate conversations over coffee. There's a truly grand dining table, and a great room with soaring ceilings. The athletic set will enjoy ping pong tournaments in the extra large recreation room. The riverview spa is a favorite place for those who want to sit, soak, and unwind. There are two kayaks for exploring the river and a log swing overlooking the private beach. There are large, covered, riverview decks furnished for outdoor dining, and a comfortable round lounger on the patio for naps or watching passing canoe traffic. You'll find something enjoyable for everyone in your group.

Our four homes are located along the Russian River, just outside of the idyllic town of Healdsburg, California, recognized as a world renowned wine producing region, and graced with a temperate Mediterranean climate and scenery reminiscent of Tuscany or the French countryside. There are more than 70 wineries in the immediate area, and in addition, there are those in the surrounding counties of Napa and Mendocino, just a short afternoon trek away.

In Healdsburg you'll find a wonderful selection of fine dining choices, great boutique shopping, and prestigious winery tasting rooms, all within an easy stroll of Healdsburg's central plaza. You'll find that Healdsburg is the epicenter of Sonoma County Wine Country, and a unique combination of world class style and small town charm.

We are a riverfront property with a private beach, and offer two kayaks for guests' use. We have a spa, sauna, and decks overlooking the river. There's an indoor ping pong tavle in the recreation room. We provide an IPod/MP3 player, dock, and recharging station. Fishing poles are provided upon request, complimentary winery tour maps, and a restaurant guide with sample menus is provided for most area restaurants, day passes to Healdsburg's private Parkpoint Health Club for weight training and use of the swimming pool are available for $10, a variety of inflatables are provided for swimmers for use in the river in the summer months, there's a log lawn swing for leisurly afternoons, a charming handmade checkers table, and a library of books on the subjects of natural history, travel, wildlife, and local area history, as well as a video libraby. The mattresses, box springs, and pillows are fully encased in allergy guard, dust-mite, bug-proof covers for our guests' peace of mind. All linens are laundered with soaps free of perfumes and dyes. Non-toxic, environmentally friendly products are used for cleaning wherever possible. We provide baby furnishings (bed, high chair, and baby gates.) Babysitting referral list available. Convenient keyless door entry system makes access for guests both easy and secure, so there's never a worry about losing keys.

We stayed at the Riverwood and had a wonderful vacation. The home comfortably accomodated our family of 8 adults and 6 children. The home is well equipped and has lots of seating areas. The large dining room table was a plus. The river was just out back and the house had a large outdoor patio so the adults could sit on the patio and keep an eye on the kids down at the river. The reservations manager and owner are very helpful throughout the rental process. I would highly recommend this home.
