Description of the Helen vacation cabin rental

Spring/Summer dates now available ~ Real MOUNTAIN VIEWS! - Every amenity for the price of a hotel room! Our 6 years new home has awesome views of Mt. Yonah all year round and is located just 3 miles to Helen in a lovely private but upscale mountain community. Sit on the front porch rocking chairs and watch the seasons change or relax on the back deck in the hottub and take in the whole panarama. No SUV's needed or dark gravel roads to access our fully stocked home which is decorated and filled with all the comforts of home. Cabin has 3 bedrooms, but can be rented as 1,2 or 3 depending on the size of your party. Our 3rd bedroom is a special kids room with futon and toys, games galore! Cd's, DVD's, Videos, games, books, and we provide Satellite TV in a every room. All guests are greeted personally upon arrival and we have only had glowing reviews of our home. The pictures don't do it justice. Come and enjoy it like you are part of the family! You'll be glad you did!

In recognition of the financially challenging times we are all experiencing, we would like to do our part and have reduced our rates to encourage our families and friends to getaway from it all in a beautiful yet affordable home and area. Regular rates are based on double occupancy, so a minimal charge per night for each additional bedroom will be assessed. Cleaning fees are also based upon # of bedrooms & baths utilized. See below.

This is our only cabin (we do not have any others), so check the calander to save time in case we are already booked. Thank you for your inquires and to all of you who have joined us in the past, thanks so much for your prayers and kind notes of encouragement following my surgery.

Area Information

The beautiful Sautee Nacoochee Valley boasts some of the most wonderful mountain views in the North Georgia area and has so very much to do or not depending on your mood. Our location is perfect for easy access to enjoy beautiful Unicoi State Park with AnnaRuby Falls, Bavarian Helen with shops, restaurants, music, and more, hiking, tubing the Chattahoochee (The hooch), Appalachian Trail hiking, kayaking, fishing, music festivals, gorgeous mountain drives to Blairsville, Blue Ridge and more, Babyland Cabbage Patch Kids Hospital and much more.

You can also visit or check out the link for the Sautee Nacoochee Arts and Cultural Center where the museum also presents plays, dances and the Evening Star Series acoustic performances by well known artists. Other Fees: All rates are based on double occupancy (2 persons, master suite & bath). When home is occupied by a couple, we simply close off the extra bedrooms to save on rates and cleaning fees. Outcleaning fee is $50 for 1 bedroom/1 bath rental adding $10 for 1 bedroom/using both bathrooms and $75-$100 for using 2 bedrooms-entire home. $20 per stay wifi. Due to the economic challenges today, we are offering good discounts on all stays over 3 days. Please inquire for details. Our private home is stocked full of DVD's, CD's, Vidoes, games, books, poker chips, and TV's (satellite) in every room and even a guitar. We have a brand new log bed in master bedroom! 2nd suite has queen bed w/ private bath access too. Our special kids room has toys, children approprate games and playstation with games. We have a packnplay and full size crib and all bedding to match. We provide all paper and plastc products (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags), laundry soap, fabric softener, dryer sheets, dishwasher/ing, hand and bath soaps ans starter shampoo/conditioners. Most spices are there as well as the coffee, sugar, salt and pepper we also provide. You truly only need your clothing and food, we've got the REST! Our cabin home has complete privacy without those long dark drives out dirt roads so you have easy access to come and go leisurely with the ultimate convenience. We have a 2 car garage in the back of the cabin which is wonderful for unloading and easy access to the cabin. The brochures, maps and menus are plentiful and suggestions for our favorites are listed in our home information booklet. All guests are met personally upon arrival and someone remains available throughout your stay should you need anything (even directions). We pride ourselves on personal care for all our guests. Most of our guests return year after year. Hot tub on back deck or front porch rocking chairs, you'll relax on both. Hope to see you soon! Wonderful weekend getaway

My family and I made a short-notice weekend get--away and truly enjoyed this rental. This was the first time we'd rented a property instead of hotel, and it was great! The owners and caretaker were prompt and helpful. We enjoyed hiking to a couple of the local waterfalls, and shopping & dinner in Helen. The local materials the owners provided at the prpperty were helpful to guide us to the waterfalls and other interesting things in the area. My husband and I even enjoyed a few games of backgammon, which we haven't done in years! My daughter and niece enjoyed the hot tub too! While it's in a residential neighboorhood, it was still private and close to Helen. The only thing that bothered us was the TV size... we're used to big screen TVs, so the smaller screens were a disapointment... but I think we're spoiled. The other thing to note is cell coverage is lacking, but that's the point of a get-away, right? It didn't bother my husband and I, but my daughter and niece find it hard to live without their phones... 'amazingly', they managed fine! If we get another chance to take a weekend off again, we'll be checking this place out again! I definitely recommend this property to others!

Thx for the comments. The 32" tv in the living room seems small in comparison to the wall unit. We too are spoiled, but like you say, the point is to getaway from it all. As for cell service, it depends on the carrier. White county passed laws not permitting any more towers. It's a shame, but guess they want to keep the mountains beautiful and tech free. We had a great experience! The cabin was immaculate, well equipped, decorated nicely and very comfortable! Both the owner and their local contact were really nice - we were met right on our arrival and the owner went above board to work with us on the arrangements, especially considering we made a last minute reservation. The location was excellent - we had scenic drives to Nantahala for rafting and to Amicolala Falls for hiking that weren't too long either way. The neighborhood is not an especially rustic setting, but a fantastic homebase to venture out to experience nature. (We'd considered camping for this trip - roasting marshmallows on a campfire and hanging the hammocks from the trees. This cabin is a bit more residential than outdoorsy, but we certainly took advantage of those benefits)! We'd highly recommend this rental property to travelers to North Georgia.

Gorgeous House in the Mountains!!

We rented this property for our children and grandchildren, when they came to visit from Michigan. We could not be happier, the property is imaculate and well maintained! Beautifully layed out and decorated, yet very comfortable and everyone felt right at home. The children's room was terrific for the kids and came with toys, games, TV & DVD! This house is close to Helen as well as many other attractions. My children were pleasantly surprised at how much there was to do in the area! Natalie (the owner) makes sure you have everything you need, including pamphlets and info on the area. We will definitely utilize this home in the future, when family or friends come to visit!

My parents had such an amazing time at their stay. Everything was beautiful and they said that the house could not have been any more nice. It had everything they could have ever needed. They are excited to plan another family trip and are so thankful for getting to go.
