Nearby Attractions include: Alpine Village of Helen, Unicoi State Park, Historic Gold Rush Town of Dahlonega, Waterfalls, The Appalachian Trail, two Outlet Malls, World Famous Cabbage Patch Kids Babyland General, Habersham Winery and Oktoberfest.
With Children:
The Willows pottery studio on Saturday. It is a cozy place but so much fun. Sit on the porch out front and paint your pottery. Jolly's Toys and Charlemagne's Kingdom are musts if you have kids in tow. As is Hansel and Gretel's Candy Kitchen. Anna Ruby Falls is a good short hike.
Betty's Country Store. For a country store it is enormous. They have fresh meat, produce and many things you can't find in your local grocery store.
Haunted Helen. Haunted Helen is the South's Premier year-round haunted attraction. 17,000 square feet of high tech sound and animatronics you must see to believe. Darkness isn't your only companion in this factory of FEAR!
We spent most of our vacation relaxing to the crackling of th stone fireplac in the spacious and cozy Great Room. Sitting on the deck in rocking chairs and soaking up the panoramic views of the Chattahoochee River and the mountains was amazing. The decor' of this cabin is unique -- lodge-like filled with antique furniture and local wildlife taxidermy to create a peaceful, cozy, rustic atmosphere. I would highly recommend this cabin for either a romantic vacation, a family vacation in the seclusion of the woods, or even for "Girls Weekend". Amazing! Thanks!!
