Family trip a success!
February 19, 2014
I was very apprehensive about renting a cabin from a private individual. Our family has taken this annual mountain trip for a number of years now, but we've always stayed in a cabin at Unicoi State Park. However, we are beginning to outgrow our surroundings. What began as a mom, dad, and four kids, now includes grandchildren and in-laws. So we went searching for a larger cabin and we found Lenny. Lenny made me feel secure and confident of my choice from day one. He provided all that I requested and more. Also, the cabin was close to Unicoi as it states, so we were still in a familiar environment and able to drive over to the Lodge for breakfast like we're used to. The cabin was great and more than enough room for us! Thanks Lenny for helping to make this year's trip a success.
Private and Secluded

We loved the Cabin, Plenty of room for our 10 Person Family. Just a few minutes from Helen GA and Unicoi State Park. Private and Secluded But close to everything we wanted to do. The most exciting thing was seeing the Bears near the Cabin.
Cabin in the mountains
May 29, 2010
We stayed there for four days and it is close to Alpine Helen and Uniqoi State Park. It is very scenic up in the mountains with lots of green leafy trees surrounding. It feels very secluded and quite. The cabin is pretty cool with the game room (we had fun with the karaoke machine and air hockey and darts). During the day we went shopping in Helen, swimming in the Uniqoi lake, saw the bears and snakes at the bear park, went to see Anna Ruby Falls, and panned for gold and gems at two different local places just outside of Helen. (We liked Dukes Creek Mines better because you got more gems, rocks actually, like rose quartz, clear quartz, sodalite, aventurine, amethyst, carnelian, etc.) We didn't pan for gold, just gems, but the people who were seemed dissapointed because all they found was a few flakes. All in all we had lots of fun on our trip to Helen.

When we first entered the cabin it was so cozy and inviting. We got there after dark so there was a lot yet to see. We found each bed made with fresh linens and quickly tucked our toddlers in (5, 3 & 2) on the futon bed in the master. Our 10 & 12 yo boys found the basement and were wowed! Our other guests joined us the next morning in time to see the sun shining through the awesome window. All together there were 11 of us. 4 adults, 2 pre-teens, 5 toddlers. There was plenty of space! We enjoyed the fireplace, the deck and overall EVERYTHING about the cabin. Our weekend was so memorable, we're planning the next trip already. We can say, for adults-fabulous; for teens - fabulous; for little ones - fabulous! Make your family memories here! Lenny was great and easy to work with.
