Beautifully furnished and appointed 5,250 sq.ft. brick tudor home in Innsbruck, a private golf community located within the city limits of Helen. The house has sufficient space and privacy to accommodate two families at a time. It was occupied for three years by the contractor who built it, and who took great pains to install the finest of wood cabinetry and molding, which can be found throughout the main level.
Most of the rooms have views, either of the 6,748 yard championship golf course out the back, or of the picturesque mountains, which may be seen from the front and sides. On the lower level, there is an expansive game room complete with fireplace (one of three in the house), billiards table, and TV. Also on the lower level is a wine cellar, with wine rack, as well as a self-contained golf car garage. In the master bedroom suite there is a separate sitting room that exits onto the redwood deck and into the screened in porch. At the opposite side of the sitting room is the master bath, with its spacious jacuzzi tub.
There are three bedrooms on the main level, including the master. One each is on the upper and lower levels, respectively, while another room on the upper level has a roll-out couch for additional accommodations. All of the rooms contain, or adjoin, more storage space than could ever be utilized.
Perhaps the most important feature of the house its accessibility to the "Alpine Village" of Helen, and its quaint shops, restaurants, and entertainment facilities, all of which explode in activity during the month of Octoberfest and into the holidays. Close by, within easy driving distance, you will find hiking, fishing, boating, rafting, and tubing, in addition to the exercise, swimming, tennis, and golfing venues located within the community of Innsbruck. Finally, the charming towns of Hiawassee, Blairsville, and Clarkesville, along with the state borders of Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina can all be reached in under an hour.
Area Description
The sub-division of Innsbruck is a quiet, semi-mountainous retreat, with the championship golf course and community pool, which itself is in an idyllic location, located within its boundaries. The community is superbly maintained and fully paved, although bucolic enough to hold many species of wildlife.

Reviews for this vacation home rental in Helen, Georgia
We spent 3 nights in this spacious wonderful home. We were traveling with 8 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone.
We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and relaxing in the beautiful surroundings. The views from the front and the back of the house were fabulous and the sunsets spectacular.
The house came with all the amenities we needed and everything was in excellent condition.
We would love to stay there again in the future.
We are a group of 10 friends that take an annual fall trip. This year we found the Castle in the Sky in Helen, Georgia.
The house is spacious (5 bedrooms) as well as warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castle in the Sky and will be returning there next fall or perhaps sooner.
The home is beautiful and the neighborhood is peaceful. The stars at night are very bright and the back deck is a perfect place to view them. We wished we had brought a telescope. We also enjoyed being so close to the town of Helen. The owner was friendly and responded quickly to all of our questions. It was fun having a living area and a separate family room downstairs. For those of us who are night owls, we could play pool and watch t.v. downstairs while the early birds could sleep peacefully on the main level and upstairs. There is a front porch with a view of the mountains and a back deck and screened room with a view of the golf course (and stars). There is even an office on the upper level with another family room. Our sister and brother-in-law and child stayed upstairs. Their room had a view of the golf course and we used the pull out sofa for their child. So, they had the entire upper floor to themselves.
We 7 siblings gather one time a year in order to catch up, bond, cry, and laugh in person! We arrived from 3 states with most spouses in tow and had a fabulous stay! The house was awesome and accommodated us beautifully. I would recommend to anyone looking for a homey, comfortable, spacious gathering place.
With much appeciation to Steven,
Best regards and thanks,
Cathy (Scott) Metcalf and family
Our stay in Helen was graded our best ever by one of my sons-in-law. It was roomy, convenient, beautiful and allowed our family to have a memorable experience for our Christmas celebration. My home is no longer large enough for these celebrations so that I feel it is most important that we gather in a family friendly environment. The golf course was an added attraction for some of the men. Thank you.
The house is absolutely beautiful. It sits in the back of a very nice golf community - deer grazing in the yards. house has five bedrooms, but also a room with a pull out loveseat, and another room with a very comfy couch. in addition, there is a sectional sofa in both the living room and den so it sleeps a lot of people. there are 4 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms, a large kitchen, two refrigerators (one in the garage) and is just perfect for a larger family get together. It is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need, including a washer and dryer. i would highly recommend this to anyone.
This property is perfect for a group or large family. The home is beautiful & spacious and even though there are neighbors, feels secluded. Everything was furnished. Exceptional view of mountains and just about 10 minutes from downtown Helen. Owner is very accommodating and a gracious host. Highly recommended rental!
The house we rented at Innsbruck Golf Resort for a weekend during Oktoberfest was fabulous - it's called Castle in the Sky if you Google it - and I would highly recommend it to a large group or family. It had 3 floors, 5 private bedrooms (including master suite with jaccuzi, 2 other private baths & 1 shared bath, and I think 3 half baths. You could also sleep a couple of people in the living room & in the basement game room if necessary. We paid less than $1000 and took 8 people for 2 nights, so you can see it was well worth the money! Actually cheaper than a motel during Oktoberfest. It's just outside of town but the drive up to the house is a little winding and steep and I wouldn't recommend trying to find it the first time up after dark. But once you get up there the view of the wooded area and mountains is wonderful. I dealt directly with the owner most of the time and he was am very accommodating and gracious host - even though he lives out of state. I would highly recommend this rental if you're taking a group or large family.
