Great stay at Higgins Lake!

September 10, 2013

The Smale's cabin was beautiful and very well kept. The surrounding area was very quiet and the lake was gorgeous. We will most definitely rent this cabin again!

Great time

September 7, 2013

All the other reviews tell the story. You sought out a very well priced cabin with low ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom. So what? If you're under 6, 1" you won't have to duck. The cabin was spacious and clean and Peggy was a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely go back.

Hilltop hideaway

August 13, 2012

We had our family of 7 staying the week at this conveniently located Higgins Lake cottage. Peggy(owner) was very pleasant deal with. The cottage sits a top a large hill and in close proximity to South State Park which we drove to almost daily. The kitchen and bathroom areas have very low ceilings (6' maybe) and actually gave us quite a few laughs!

Nice little cabin

September 23, 2011

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of this house and the friendliness of its' owner. Our only advise to future renters would be to bring your own toilet paper because they don't provide any consumeables (paper products). ;-) Also, if you are tall, the kitchen and dining room ceilings are rather low and you should be aware of that. Other than that, the area is clean, quiet and close to just about anything you might need.

Excellent Stay!

June 17, 2009

We had an amazing time up at Higgins Lake. It was such a small village, yet it had everything! The cottage was beautiful and felt very cozy. It rained our last day, so it felt like a great hide away. I would love to go back next summer! Peggy was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone interested.

A great hideaway weekend

October 28, 2008

This cottage was a wonderful retreat for us and lovely with all the fall colors...the working fireplace was romantic and the bedroom was nice and spacious. We truly loved everything about it, even though the kitchen and bathroom were very short! Being that Doug is 6'5 and I am 5'10, neither of us could be in the kitchen or bathroom standing up...yet high ceilings were in every other room! It made for many giggles and we had a wonderful time. I would go back in a heartbeat-Peggy, the owner was just as sweet as can be. Thank you Peggy! I would totally recommend this place...even with the height restraints...it's worth it.
