Biddeford Maine is a great location for Leaf Peeping in the fall.
Scenic drives along the Maine coast and a short drive to the mountains.
We do not supply bed linens,towels,or beach towels. You must bring your own.

best beach vacation

I hesitate to praise this location too much because I don;t wish to share it. My visit was restful, picturesque, and ever changing. The tide comming and going changed the landscape every hour. The boats entering and leaving the river harbor were beautiful to watch. There were shells and driftwood to collect while exploring the beach and sandbars. There are islands off in the distance and one to walk to at low tide. No real need to ever leave the spot but ,if you wish your are near shopping and beaches and all the Main coast has to offer. The two bedroom cottage was pleasant and well supplied with papergoods . The kitchen was well stocked for simple cooking. There are a bank of windows along the length of the house facing the views and two decks to make the sun/shade/wind choices easy. What's not to like? Perhaps just the day of departure is the only nagative.

The most beautiful view imaginable!

The view was wonderful, especially watching the moon rise. You can hear the waves when you are inside the cottage and have 180 degree view of the Saco River and the ocean. The breeze passes easily across the cottage. The bathroom really needs an update. Lack of proper ventilation gives it a musty smell.

The Ultimate Beach House at Hills Beach certainly fits those descriptions. The location provides wonderful views of water, sky, sunrise/sunset, fisherman, boats and even the fireworks from old Orchard Beach. We only left the house/beach twice, to buy post cards and to eat seafood. Everything else we wanted was right there. The house is attractive, well-appointed, (the only thing I forgot and couldn't find was a pencil), and the beds/pillows are very comfy.
