The house and the owner, Lora, are very nice. Lora shared her garden vegetables with us. The house is well cared for and only a few yards from the river. The house is about halfway down the Greenbrier Trail. We left our car at the south end of the trail and booked a shuttle with Outdoor Adventures to the northern end. Had a great weekend and would stay here again.

Our family had an absolute blast. We have stayed in the park before and us girls were not looking forward to that again, A friend that lives in the area told me about your house. That call was the best thing Ive done in a while. Your house is awesome made our week so much more enjoyable. The internet and tv's keep the grandkids happy. It was so close to everything we love fishing, swimming, canoeing. bike trails all right in front of the house we stayed busy all week long. Loved being able to cook outside each day. Laura you were so nice and Donald a wonderful contractor the house was absolutely beautiful I loved the floors and the kitchen. I pray we can come back soon it's like heaven on Earth Thanks for everything

We had another wonderful year at the Humming Bird House. Reserved 2012 too. Can not wait to go back. Our family loves to ski and Snowshoe is just a hop, skip and jump away. A very economical alternative to staying on the Mountain. The house had lots of upgrade this year and we can not wait to see next years accomplishments. Lora is the Best Hostess too. Thanks again!

What a great place to stay! The house is beautiful and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and prepare meals. Every room, even the bathrooms, are so spacious you don't feel crowded. If you enjoy nature, then I would highly recommend The Hummingbird House.

Me and my two sons stayed here for a 4 day weekend to go fishing, canoeing and bike riding. We honestly were expecting an old house that had a few renovations, but was clean... our expectations were wrong! What we got was what my sons referred to as "...this is not a cabin... this is like a condo or resort". The place is an old 1900's house on the outside and a 2010 house on the inside with all brand new hardwood floors, brand new bathrooms with large over-sized showers and a large kitchen all with vaulted ceilings that appear to be 11 or 12 ft tall. Apparently, the owner is a general contractor and has done an incredible job on this house! The place is very easy to find and the owner is very accommodating. We felt very at home. I used to come to Seebert with my dad when I was a kid, so I wanted to bring my boys. There is an amazing amount of things to do in this area that I never knew. We visited the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Green Bank, Cass Railroad, Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad, Beartown State Park, did a little bit of fishing (the river was too shallow for canoeing this time) and rode on some of the bike trails. There are at least 5 more state parks, a national forest and another railroad in the area. The Humming Bird House is a great place to stay while doing this and we will definitely be back!

We stayed 2 nights at the midpoint of the Greenbriar River Trail for a biking weekend. The house was beautiful and extremely comfortable. Very roomy for 7 people. The roads to the end of the trail were hills, curves and nauseating. Beautiful country though and a great trail.
