Description of the Hillsborough vacation home rental

Come enjoy a peaceful week in our fabulous and comfortable house on
beautiful Emerald Lake. The water is pristine, spring-fed and well
stocked with trout and other fish. Watch the sunset from our lakeside
deck, sun yourself on the floating dock, or enjoy the screened-in porch.

The house has over 2200 square feet of living space with lots of room
to find privacy. It has a large 24 x 24 foot living room with a wood
burning fireplace and two very comfortable couches. There is a 30"
Wide-screen High Definition television in the living room with cable
and DVD/VCR. There's also a very nice stereo with wireless speakers
that can be placed in different rooms or taken outside. The family room
downstairs has another wood burning fireplace, a 20" television,
vcr/dvd player and lots of toys and games to keep the kids entertained
and out of your hair!!

The kitchen is nicely equipped, including pots and pans, utensils, and
a wide variety of spices. The attached dining room comfortably seats 10.

There are three adult bedrooms with queen beds; the master bedroom is
enormous, with a walk-in closet that you could even put a crib in and
huge picture windows with sliding doors that lead out to the upper
deck. Enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee from here. The guest room
also has a lake view and a large walk-in closet. Downstairs is the
third adult bedroom as well as a bunk bed room for the kids and two
portacribs.

Outside enjoy a small yard in which to play games, relax on the deck, snooze in the hammock or enjoy the bubbling hot tub with a great view of the lake!.

The lake is 50 acres and doesn't allow motor boats (little fishing
motors are okay) so swim, boat, fish or just float around and relax.

Emerald Lake is nestled in the bucolic and historic hill town of Hillsborough which is located in the Monadnock region of south western New Hampshire. Emerald lake is ½ hour west of Concord and 90 minutes north of Boston. The charming town of Peterborough is only half an hour away and boasts summer art and music festivals, art galleries, fun restaurants, fall harvest festivals and lots more. Come enjoy the beautiful scenery and the many activities like biking, boating, hiking, skiing, ballooning �� that make southern New Hampshire so unique!

Our family rents a house each year for my father's birthday. As the family grows, so do our needs. This house was perfect. The house has plenty of room for everyone. We loved being right on the lake and took full advantage of all the boats - so much fun! This house has all the comforts you could want. The hot tub is great and adds another option for a cool NH night. We are looking forward to another family vacation to Hillsboro next year.  more...

What an amazing house! So much room and still very cozy! Really comfortable couches and beds, a great big tv, nice stereo and a nice kitchen to cook in. We LOVED soaking in the hot tub and looking at the lake and stars at night and then spending the evening watching the fire in the living room. We had a wonderful weekend of cross country skiing in fabulous Fox Forest just down the street form the house and sledding on a huge hill in Hillsboro. We highly rcommend this house, what a find, we'll be back!! McCorkindale  more...
