Description of the Hilo vacation cottage rental

My family and I are long time residents of the beautiful Puna district on the east, and more lush, side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Along with our home, on a five acre tropical estate, we run a small alternative home school
and host a petting zoo of twenty-some animals, including Little Sweetie, our 800+ pound pet pig.
Five comfortable, one bedroom and studio size, family style cottages, our new 40 foot lagoon pool, a private regulation tennis court and a picturesque gazebo are available for your use.The cottages, which sleep from two to five, are set amidst large lawns, graceful palm trees and an assortment of fruit trees. Each has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, TV/VCR, private phone, ceiling fans and a full bath.

We are located just 20 miles south of Hilo (between Kea'au and Pahoa) and are centrally located for visiting the active volcano, lovely botanical gardens, thermal hot pools and black sand beaches. It is just minutes to picturesque lava cliffs perfect for whale watching and turtle sightings, to little known hiking trails, or to historic Pahoa village with its quaint shops and choice of ethnic restaurants.

 Fantastic Place To Stay, October 5, 2007

We stayed here in August 2007 for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was just what we wanted an idilic retreat, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The location is good, just 30mins drive from Hilo, but also close to the Volcanic Park and Hot Springs and Beaches. Would recomend it to anyone who wants a few days away from it all.

I stayed here in Sept 2004 with my grandson. We are going back this Sept. for the entire month. My grandson loved the animals. I spent most of my time in the wonderful pool or on the back porch just enjoying the quite. If you want to see what Hawaii is really like this is the place to stay. Cindi and her husband were just wonderful and very helpful with any information that you might need. I didn't want to leave and look forward to going back this year
